I can see your pic now. Absolutely gorgeous!! That's the model I'm lusting after.

With the money saved, I was able to fund the majority of the purchase cost of a Lange 1.

Wow, the RG version with black dial is stunning.

I sometimes think the 1815 chrono would benefit from applied numerals. I can't imagine that printed numerals were chosen in an effort to save money though, it's purely an aesthetic choice. Nothing about this piece has been done to save money (well, the exception being the shared movement with the dato!).

The main reasons I chose the chrono over the dato was the slimmer case and smaller diameter since I have small wrists. If the dato came in the same size as the chrono is likely have stretched the budget to make it work regardless. The much lower price was a real bonus as the main objective was to get that amazing movement.

Love the 2014 Grand Lange 1 Moonphase in platinum! It is much more than a regular moonphase. Check out the great review in link below photo and yes I really like this one--my favorite Lange 1!

That is now my favorite (reachable) Lange. Just a beautiful moonphase and the larger case suits the complication. There is no underestimating, in my opinion, a power indicator on manual watch. RG is also very beautiful and has quite a different personalty with the gold markers and script.

I am between this Lange and the JLC Duometre. The Lange has the prestige and uniqueness, but that Duometre is such a stunner...

Brilliant watch. I slightly prefer the RG version. No WG version yet I think.

Lange videos are very cool.

Ken this is truly a special piece and world's first perpetual moon phase as in perpetually advancing unlike every other one that advances a day at a time.

I think Patek and Lange should be paying Ken a sales commission for his enabling tendencies

More value and more watch than any other company I can think of! Look at Dato P and show me more watch for the money than that.

No arguing 405.035 is a bargain.
