Found this “stuff” again at Costco. Not sure how they are able to price it as they are, but I’m happy they do.

Unless I'm looking for a certain (older) vintage most of my wine has been coming from Costco lately....might explain the stock price.

Will check this one out if my local store has it.

Not one I’ve tried. That region makes some high alcohol wines. How’s this one?

Costco’s prices are pretty tough to beat and they have stepped up their wine game too!

Rtude makes very nice wine for the money, before they sold to Beringer Tony Soter was the owner and he's renowned for Pinot and Cab projects all across the west coast. I think their cab has slipped a bit since the early days but that's because their fruit contracts aren't as premium as when Soter was running the ship. The Pinot however is doing very well and has gained in notoriety!

Got remarried recently, opened this for dinner to celebrate. Still needed a few hours of air but it didn't disappoint. Waited a long time to open it, glad we did.

Alrighty, winos! I had a Pinot noir last night with dinner. It was recommended (had duck) and is not usually my go to but it was fantastic and I'm looking for more recommendations.

2017 Domaine Génot-Boulanger Mercurey-Sazenay

Any suggestions for accessable wines in the US that might be similar? I'm in CA so wine isn't too hard to get.

Thanks!

Are you asking for more burgundy suggestions or asking for what CA wines are similar to this Côte Chalonnaise? Because their are life pursuits, billion dollar investments and great movies/books all centered around Americans trying to make French wines...
