Watching that top again, ask yourself what will keep the markets going higher?

Stanley Druckenmiller on CNBC with a new S&P target call of 3600

Dollar to decline, sector rotation to continue, tech will give way to financials, says the market is now rational given the news, Dow now at a record high since February 12

He was last on 9/9 saying the markets were manic and inflation was going to move higher, he was not buying the rally. Inflation would signal a move higher in gold and financial stocks

Take this for what you will I like lots of data points to make my decisions

For those concerned with big tech (and all of tech moves today in general) - don't be. Life back to normal should benefit everyone, including tech.

As an example, with more businesses returning to normal, expect an uptick in online advertising from those same companies, benefitting the likes of GOOGL, FB, PINS, etc.

I added to my TDOC position.

Pretty ugly close, considering.

Added OTRK Friday, was going to add again at 51 this morning but alas I am not mentally strong enough to catch a falling knife. Keeping my eye on that and TDOC tomorrow.

As for tech, I'm a buyer on these dips, always. Yes, we might be overextended, but I'm long-term and I'm building shares for the future - again, 12-18 months out, I most of us will agree that we'll be higher.

I'm not a chartmaster but when you see where a lot of these tech names were at open, it was clearly overzealous movement in my opinion in terms of the selling this morning. We seem to have stabilized now, so you have to take advantage of those gut feelings sometimes and buy.

Thanks gentlemen. Yes I’m holding steady in my long tech names, which is most of my portfolio. Have NKE and HD as non tech with a low cost basis so not sweating those. Have a big of cash on the sidelines that might consider deploying if things continue south otherwise I’ll just carry on.

Definitely a strong reaction to the vaccine news. It’s promising and exciting for sure, but still several important questions on who it works for, for how long, and other details. Suffice it to say it’s not like we’ll all be vaccinated and on board a cruise ship in the next couple weeks.

Agree here - the close was not what I was expecting.

Onto tomorrow...

Talking Stocks 2.0

Having a doc in the house & talking with other docs, hospital & private practice administrators can’t wait to get rid of virtual solutions like TDOC. Insurers reimburse a fraction of actual office visit cost. The lost revenue is hurting funding other areas of medicine.

TeleMed is def here for the short-term (or as long as it takes to get rid of COVID)’ maybe simple follow-ups. Just not sure long term.

I’m a doctor, I disagree with this. This needs to be considered from a patient perspective, not a doctors perspective - do I get paid less? Yes. Is it better for the patient? Often yes. Also, I see overlap between telemedicine and health technology in general, and as long as technology can offer a superior solution to what I can offer, then I’ll just have to swallow my pride. Investment in telehealth and health technology is if you believe this will transform PATIENT CARE, not doctor income. Not to mention it saves the insurer a bunch of money. Doctors are low on this totem pole.

You’re certainly right about the payer angle. Eventually flattening the healthcare industry will globalize remote care solutions.

I also agree with the patient care angle - especially if tech can improve outcomes.

Certain names oversold today, great opportunity to add to my paypal and fedex (shouldn't be down 5%+ and they will partake in shipping the vaccines, PO $300 soon) leap options. DOCU getting interesting too, that will not be going away regardless of COVID. Fingers crossed similar good news from MRNA soon.

Sold off into the close was no surprise, NASDAQ futures down -190, rotation continues, Dow +223 at the moment.

Still looking at profit taking and capital preservation

Market is overbought but moving towards normalization. Doesn't appear to be any different this morning, with value up and tech down.

Bought calls for AMD.

Not adding today as I think there’s a bit more red to squeeze out, but eyeing NVDA around 500-505, TSLA 390-400, NET 55-60. Also watching TDOC and OTRK for now and will add if they dip further from their current spots (covid vaccine will not deteriorate the telehealth thesis, and OTRK even points to covid as headwind that impeded against their 170% YoY revenue growth). Also starting my research for long term entry into solar/renewable energy businesses.

^^ dang, those targets hit while driving (I don’t like pre-setting buy orders). Meh. I’ll keep watching to see if it goes there again.

Sure has. The rotation out of tech seems a bit overdone IMO, but what do I know. Judging by all the red on my screen, little.

I have no qualms with adding here. I know you're a long-term investor as well Ryan, so I wouldn't be too concerned with these levels.

Nothing fundamentally has changed with these stocks, and the sector rotation is overdone...again, haven't we seen this before (x3 or 4 times) over the last few months??

Agreed, staying long and am adding a bit to some positions. I think long term many of the names we discuss here will have enormous growth ahead.

Decent look at what the future brings to the market with a new president and split congress.

Tech clawing back slowly; we saw a bit of this yesterday around the same time before it reversed again.

Hoping to see a stronger finish across the board.
