Still loving my Czapek, it's definitely taking away wrist time from the rest of the collection. I was out getting an eye exam and some new glasses this morning, and the 20-something saleswoman complimented me on the watch. She asked where I got it and I just said "some little Swiss company you've probably never heard of". Nobody ever comments on my watches. I suppose it's because the dial really is eye-catching in the metal.

Out of any watch I’ve ever purchased, it’s harder for any picture to show what the piece looks like in the metal. Given the movement showing through the dial, light truly hits at many different angles given the various depths of the components. The Rattrapante function is amazing on this watch. Works flawlessly. I went with the red second hand which really adds to the character of the watch. It’s fun to see the components as you cycle through starting, stopping, catching up, etc. What Czapek said about the height is indeed true; the over 15mm total height may initially scare people, but you have to see it in person. It really does mostly feel like a traditional Antarctique, and they designed the domed crystal well. Of course there will be more exploration in the coming days, but the limited experience is still enough to name it my favorite of the four. |

All Adelie have it printed on the dial? Also, if such attitudinal Timelab paper certificate is requested for the Drake, would it also imply the printing on the dial?
I actually tend to prefer the “cleaner” dial version, without the Chronometre print on the below. |

Inflation effect :-).
And the list price of the watch has recently increased by approx 15% (from 17k to 19,5 k CHF VAT excluded). In any case, as mentioned, I am not particularly in love with the Chronometre print on the dial, especially on the Drake versions which have the “Czapek Geneve” characters embossed. |

No they will not print it on the dial of the drake as they they don’t find it aesthetically pleasing. They will however engrave it on the case back ring if you ask. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wrist roll video of my Antarctique. Most pics online don't show how cool the dials look in sunlight

Had I to find something that does not excite me in the Antarctique, it is the loose bracelet at the lugs (even perfection has its own singularities …). The snapshot previewing the yellow dial (posted here, in the previous pages) showed it clearly, and frankly I do not believe that this is related to prototype aspects: only the dial color (and its related date plate) is prototyped, instead the case and bracelet structure are well tested.
Depending on the position on the wrist, in general the bracelet can show such looseness, sometimes (like in that picture of yellow dial) in a very pronounced way. But in general in all other pictures this can also be seen, even if at different degrees. And it is a structural characteristic, since the last bracelet link connects to the case spring bar only through 1 point (the quick release system), and therefore remains kind of loose within the lugs. The good aspect of this is that the bracelet in this way better fits the wrist shape and therefore the wearing is more comfortable, but with a slight sacrifice of aesthetics. |

Yes that quick release system does allow a little play in that polished center link. That bugged me too but you eventually just get used to it

Since my relatively small wrist expands and shrinks about 0.25" during the course of a day, a bit of give and take benefits my situation. Czapek's new adjustable clasp is a nice 'bonus' too. Their latest releases showcase the manufacturer's positive evolution in both the movement and bracelet.

With the supplied tool it really is an innovative feature no doubt. Im really loving this green dial. The way the tone changes with light and the contrast of the markers. Also one thing Im really liking is how little case there is around the dial. Its just a great watch, no doubt.

How would you say, does it hold up to your holy trinity watches as you have had it for some weeks now..
Is it your new daily driver? |

Ive been wearing it daily for the last three weeks. I'm not a watch maker but tbh I think its right up there with the SS sport offerings from the big boys. the radial sunburst finish on the case and all the angles works very well. Its quite a thin case and the domed crystal gives it nice depth. The bracelet doesn't have quite the level of finishing as the Nautilus or RO but its still very satisfying. for a new player its a pretty phenomenal watch. I dont look at the movement much but when you do its a very different watch to the more traditional calibers. The visibility of all the mechanical parts without the traditional bridges or counterweight is satisfying and lets you appreciate the finesse required to make these watches.

Luv it. I think most people who get the Antarctique have some heavy hitters. And if you're satisfied with it, so will be others, too. I guess Czapek is here to stay. |
