Wow...Sauternes.
Didn't know it was still produced. One of my Mom's favs (along with a May wine) from my growing up in NY...
Gotta look for that..
Another tricky one to find up here is a Chablis...few to be found. May have to source out specialty stores vs the provincial liquor stores...
Thanks for the memories..........

Simply...The Wine Thread

Had this little gem tonight. It may have been a couple years out of its prime but it was still delightful.

just dipping my toe into the wine world in the past couple years, but slowly (Hello from the whiskey world!).

These were good. And I assume, expensive by the way other folks eyes lit up. I did not bring them. But, I did indulge.

I posted a thread on this the other day but wanted to make sure my Wine Buddies saw it. Tasting was a nice experience in a beautiful setting.

I stumbled upon this bottle whilst in Waitrose this week.

Very special to me as we visited the vineyard on our honeymoon in 2008.

What made the day extra special was they have a cheetah sanctuary at the vineyard too which is my favourite animal.

Wine was lovely too. Memories came flooding back.

After nearly a month of clean 16:8 fasts (no alcohol), this was a great way to celebrate! A great 2008 L’ecole No 41 Walla Walla Cabernet Franc, bison tri tip, risotto, and green beans. Delicious!!!

This was still OK but it has definitely peaked and is past its prime. Will need to open the last bottle soon.

This was my choice last night. http://www.menageatroiswines.com

I like this one because isn't so heavy you have to have it with a meal. Reasonably priced as well.
Cheers! Hope all is well with you! See that you were visiting here recently! You started a great thread!

We tried this at the vinyard our last trip March 2020. We liked it and picked up a few bottles. This one is only avaliable to wine club members. We also joined their wine club that trip and have really been enjoying the wines. Recommend the vinyard and this red blend.
