Sweet lineup!

Spent the morning unpacking the garage, then moved inside when it got too hot and continued unpacking the bedroom. Taking a break this afternoon and visiting a local winery.

I need to try this. I keep hearing great things about it.

I unpacked all the wine today. That was a chore because while we had been drinking down our 650 bottle capacity wine cellar for a year, we still had over 250 bottles we brought with us and our wine fridge only hold about 165 bottles. The rest went into a rack in the dining room. Tonight we opened a 2013 BV Tapestry red blend.

We got all the pictures hung up in the house today, and our outdoor furniture was delivered and set up. We took the afternoon off to celebrate the two year anniversary of the winery that we make custom candles for here in town. They had live music and a food truck, and of course wine! It was in the mid-90’s so we opted for a bottle of the Chenin Blanc and an ice bucket to keep it cold.

What a great looking time by all..
Glad you got as much done as you did..and what a relief I would think, that you're finally getting settled in...
Good stuff there Roger .

Thanks and yes, we’re getting closer. The heavy lifting is close to done. I’m updating toilets tomorrow and then it’s time to get a new TV / Soundbar. Our old one was too big for the new space. The Starlink should be here next week, so I can get that mounted and set up the smart home devices. Then it’ll be time to enjoy the property and new town for a while - I hope. My wife seems to be in a hurry for me to set up a small storefront for our soap and candle business, although that was supposed to be a fall project along with setting up my woodshop to build the raised beds this fall. She’s no help on the rest of this and seems to think these are quick projects.

Simply...The Wine Thread

Well, I guess I’ll have to represent the Willamette Valley with a 19 Ayres Pinot. Dinner was Miso Black Cod, basmati rice, and bok choy.

Simply...The Wine Thread

Today is our 19th anniversary so we decided to do something different. We rode the 25 mile loop on the Fruit and Wine Byway on the e-bikes and stopped at 3 wineries along the way - Maison La Belle Vie, The Ordinary Fellow, and Restoration Vineyards. We’re back at home now but heading out for a nice dinner at Péche later tonight.
