The old movement is plenty good enough. Power reserve is overrated. It’s not like you can see it through the back either.

116710 LN and BLNR Current Owners: Flipping Towards SS New Pepsi GMT?

BLNR will stay and hope to be side by side with a SS Pepsi in the near future. My Explorer I and Explorer II are likely candidates to fund the Pepsi though . Still thinking about it though.

Agreed. And the red on the BLRO is..well not so red.

Very highly doubt SS BLRO will have any negative impact on BLNR secondary pricing.

Nope. BLNR is still one of my favorite Rolex Watches.

The BLNR bezel is still unique to a single reference.

There is only one, at least for now.

And it's just an absolute beauty, expecially in its reaction to light.

As for the LN, Pepsi, and the Root Beer, for lack of a better term, there are multiple choices for each.

A Blog to Watch states:

The new cases are very well finished and do indeed make for a slightly better experience than the outgoing generation of GMT-Master II watches. That also means the popular "Batman" black and blue bezel Rolex GMT-Master II 116710BLNR is now a discontinued model.

Ahh but the current BLNR and LN can take the previous jubilee.

Let's just hope that the BLNR will have a case, bracelet, and movement upgrade in coming years, and will not disappear completely.

I’ve been wanting a Jubilee for my BLNR. This will be an even better solution even though I wish the colors were improved a bit.

Keeping my BLNR and put my name down for a BLRO.

While I wait, the new 39mm black bay may make its way into the collection as well.

Would be nice, but it's not a must have for me personally.

50hrs or 70hrs doesn't matter to me, as the power will run down before I wear it again.

I’ll never sell my BLNR - it’s way better suited to be my daily watch compared to the new Pepsi, which would stand out too much with the colours and jubilee bracelet. Also IMHO the jubilee bracelet looks better on a dress watch than a sports watch.

IMO I'd rather own the original, vs the new, if it happens which I doubt.

Sorry the new BLRO is ugly. Especially on a jubilee.

I would NOT sell. It might go up in value but I never liked it and it has an old movement.

I'm keeping my LN, I would like the pepsi on oyster but not 100% on the jubilee for me.

I may change my mind when I see one in the flesh but would rather add if funds allow.

as a submariner addict, i do like the Blue & Black bezel of the BLNR but the polished center link shy me away. The new new SS Pepsi watch is gorgeous however jubilee bracelet is a turn off ( to me it's for old people & women).

I’d keep my BLNR. It’s my go to watch and the blue on it is more attractive than the blue on the BLRO

116710 LN and BLNR Current Owners: Flipping Towards SS New Pepsi GMT?

Not a fan of the new Pepsi. The colours are horrible and the Jubilee bracelet does not suit the new maxi case and dial . It looks like it fell out of a Christmas cracker. My BLNR is a keeper. It’s still the king of the contemporary GMT’s.

Where’s the “hell no!” I am sentimental about watches. My LN was my first and has been on my wrist every second of block time since. As I add more it will still be the only watch I fly with unless in for service. I’m putting some money away for BLNR. The BLNR is the perfect travel watch in my opinion. To my eyes, black and blue look so much better together than blue and red. That said, I do like the new BLRO and look forward to all the photos you guys will post as they start to grace wrists. It’s just not for me.
