Sorry for your loss. It takes much to be so open on a public forum like this, and what you wrote was well done.

I am sorry for your loss. It has occurred to me that much of the world’s unhappiness is the result of people’s mental illness.

When I was a young lawyer, I thought that I have a lot of kooky clients. Then I read that 22% of the public has a diagnosable mental illness. I had a different perspective about my clientele, friends and relatives.

As everyone has said Paul I'm also very sorry for your loss. Regardless of how close you are when it's a direct family member it has a dramatic impact. Writing about it can be very cathartic. When I lost my mother a few years back I did the same thing here. It helped me process my grief. I trust this will do the same for you. Be well my friend.

Very sorry to hear Paul.
It's a very difficult process regardless of the situation.
My sister was 2 1/2 years older than me and passed unexpectedly at 32 years old.
Hold your memories close.

It all just seems so unfair.
I appreciate you sharing this, Tom, and am very sorry for your loss. The way you speak about him is inspirational. I wish you and your family the very best.
