Really nice watch! That would have been a tough choice. I probably would have picked the white gold one too.
I have a YG one and I think it’s my favorite Rolex. I’m also a really big fan of the dssd. I think you’re going to be very happy with it.

Yes that makes sense since they are a larger watch and I know they are not everybody favourite but love the idea of GMT + Annual Calendar.

I think PM watches look better on metal bracelets, but when I tried on a full RG Sky Dweller it wore me. Oysterflex cuts down on the physical and visual weight, which will also be helped visually by the WG version (my personal choice). If you like the fit and the look you can't go wrong with a Sky Dweller. A fantastic watch no matter which flavour you chose.

Run right back down to that AD and get the YG for the wife.

Now that'd be a "mike drop" Christmas surprise!

Glad for your good fortune - I have never been able to read that dial's 2nd TZ at a quick glance like GMTs or Expl. II's - I'm a 4-hander Luddite, I know...

The only watches I've had the opportunity to buy at my AD were $40K+ solid gold watches and undesirable datejusts.

It is a very cool watch, but MSRP for it is unbearable. You can get a PM Daytona on OF and have 10k left in the pocket...

Congrats! Personally, I would only buy a Rolex on a bracelet because Rolex makes some of the best bracelets in the industry.

They were great, as well, very nice spread! My local AD is really good hosting these kinds of events, they also carry Omega and a few years back had a black tie event at the local theatre and we all got early access to the latest Bond movie and some umbrellas. They are very creative in the marketing department.

Big congrats! We may have bumped shoulders at the event, if it was at JVA

What an incredible experience, thanks for sharing! The annual AD Christmas events really do have a special atmosphere, and it sounds like this one will be unforgettable for you.

The white gold Sky-Dweller Ref. 336239 is an outstanding choice. White gold on Oysterflex strikes a perfect balance between luxury and practicality, making it versatile enough to dress up or down. I wouldn’t worry about it being “too casual”the Sky-Dweller’s complex and elegant design more than compensates, and the new Glidelock clasp only adds to its appeal.

It’s amazing that you were presented with not just one but two PM Sky-Dwellers after such a long wait. The yellow gold version with a champagne dial is stunning, no doubt, but I think you made a great decision with the white gold model. The understated elegance of white gold paired with the most current Caliber 9002 movement makes it a future classic.

With your 7.75-inch wrist, I can see how the larger size works perfectly for you, and the Sky-Dweller wears its presence well. Congratulations on this amazing addition to your collection! It sounds like it’s a piece that will bring you joy every time you wear it.
