Certainly could be. I’m going with Orioles vs Phillies. The Philly starting pitching is fantastic and the Os have so much depth. The big 3 for both Dodgers and Yankees have to stay healthy for their teams to have a chance.

The Yankees have had some bad games recently, somewhat inconsistent. But I hope its just a few bumps in the road.

Maybe the Yankees relax too much when they come up against lower ranking teams.

The arm injury to Jazz Chisholm is a big loss, but maybe others who get a chance will respond well to filling that place.

Do they relax or are they over-reliant on Judge? Soto’s first three-homer night was cool though. Tough division with the Orioles playing well…

Yanks have been a below .500 team since early June. The pitching isn’t great like it was earlier in the season. As long as Soto, Judge and Stanton are in the lineup they should be fine. They also have one of the easiest remaining schedules. The lack of pitching will mean an early exit in the playoffs in my opinion.

we're a completely different team when Stanton is playing vs when he's injured. if you look at the start of 2022 when they went 50-17 it was because Stanton was playing really well and had like 25 home runs and 60 rbis by july. that team legitimately looked unbeatable until mid july, then he got injured and the whole team fell apart and ended the season with 99 wins and got swept by the astros

fast forward to this season and the team looks amazing april-june, Stanton is playing great and gets injured and we fall apart again. to me it's clear that he's the x factor on this team because you know what you're gonna get from Judge and Soto but after that the team lacks serious depth and no one can get runners in. Stanton with runners in scoring position is an rbi machine

unfortunately he's only gonna get more injured and worse from here and there's too much wrong with the team overall for fans to have anything to look forward to. the front office needs to go

Stanton is back in the team.
Jazz is not having surgery and will be back it seems in 10 days off roster.
Very true the Yankees need to fire as a team together those RBIs happening. Way too many runs are left on base.
I'm quietly optimistic of them going forward.

The other seven need to get on base more. Toss out the two studs and the Yankees, as a team, wouldn't have a very good on base percentage at all. Once you get to the postseason and a short series, relying so heavily on just two bats to produce so much of your offense is a risky way to do things.

Yankees had 2 bad losses (any loss is bad) but these confidence crushing losses should not have happened against the Detroit Tigers (4-0 and 2-3).

I'm somewhat bewildered by these outcomes, its not good!

I have to say, you need to be very strong of faith to watch a game like today...3-3 going into the 10th innings and 9-3 after the 12th innings. Yankees what has happened to you????

I just wish my Reds were relevant. It's beyond past time for them to send David Bell on his way, he had his crack at it, and with the talent on this roster, it's simply not good enough.

I agree. I really hope the Yankees get the bad losses out of their system before the post season begins.

if detroit won yesterday we could've possibly had to face Skubal 3 times in the ALCS, now it should be 2. huge win there regardless of who wins that series now

no way our roster scores a single run against that guy with the way we're playing right now lol

Worst and most expensive seats I’ve ever bought were I believe game 5 of the rays phillies World Series.

$1000 to be stuck behind the catwalk at the trop.

What the heck are they going to do with the Trop now that the roof got destroyed?

I'm pulling for a Dodgers/Yankees series. Clearly the better of the four teams remaining. Flaherty absolutely dominated in Game 1 for the Dodgers. But Shohei needs to turn it on production-wise if they're going to outscore the Yankees big boy bats.

No idea yet. I presume you won’t be able to enjoy a day game during a thunderstorm in comfortable 72 degree weather ever again at the Trop.

I think it’s only got a year left before they start demolishing it.

No sense in pouring money into a new roof now.

They should ask the Yankees if they can use Steinbrenner Field. The Tampa Tarpons play there. That or Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Anything else would be pretty inconvenient. Either way, ticket sales are going to be cut in half for several years.

Even less than before, wow I gotta move out of NY! I took some family to the Dodgers Yankees in the summer, 7 of us, third level behind home, I think it was almost 1k just for the tickets.

For the first 20 years of my life we usto get tickets for free or get in so cheap it made sense to go to 30/40 games. It really has changed for the real fans! Dynamic pricing is something!

Lets go Yankees!
