I think I prefer the numbers assigned, over the nicknames...
116610LV = Hulk
16610LV = Kermit

Conceptually I agree with you, in practice it's just easier to use nicknames...personally when I was looking I would just inquire by saying "green submariner."

Thanks Guys.
I am so happy with the purchase.
I don’t plan on ever selling any of my watches and never store these kind of things. I make sure to wear them whenever I can. Life is short. People dying daily.
I understand some ADs fears on people buying to flip. I, for example, can sell this in Canada for double what I paid for it within a heartbeat.
But am not a flipper. I buy to enjoy it. And Enjoy it I will.
I was actually missing my Bluesy so much and so I picked up a G-Shock in Taipei, Taiwan. (I love G-Shocks too :)
But I never expected to find one of my sort after pieces during this trip. I will be honest to say I never thought I would ever be one of those to tell a story of luck like this. Always wondered whether some people actually made it up cause I couldn’t understand how they got so lucky with some ADs.
Had no time to size it as I had to catch the flight. And no AD in Bali. So I plan on sizing it in 8days in next country after Bali....Japan.

Can’t wait. Am so happy. Can’t stop looking at it.
Here is the G-shock I got.

When I first skimmed your OP I thought you were looking to buy a bluesy for your brother. Then I realized you were looking for a brother for your bluesy. So now I feel sorry for your brother! But congratulations to you!

Awesome! I continue to believe that airport ADs are the best chance at stories like this one. The experience will make you love that great watch even more.

Thanks for sharing your story! It bolsters my determination to always inquire at airport AD’s. You never know...
