Personally….WG w blue dial, is one of my favorite GMT’s. WG is for the satisfaction of the owner/wearer, as 99.9% of the population will never know it’s PM

IMO, when the BLRO was only available in $$$$ WG, many here stated that they just didn't care for it. Not that it was too expensive, just not that great a look. As soon as it was available for 1/4 the price in SS, there was a stampede to buy it that has never subsided. lol
I'll venture to say that many of the folks who say the WG is too heavy, the WG is softer, etc., really mean that the WG costs more than they'd like... I really like the WG blue dial GMT especially, as well as the meteorite. I think the meteorite looks much better on the GMT than the Daytona, which already has a lot going on with the dial. Of course all of the above is just my opinion. ![]()

Doesn’t have a jubilee. Also the black dial is more iconic.

I think the blue dial WG GMT looks great, but it will always be shadowed by its meteorite sibling.
WG GMT or WG Daytona is only up to you OP, depending on which complication you prefer and which watch you like more.

It is a steel Rolex bracelet on the WG case I loved wearing it that way. I have since moved on from that watch but I have thought many times getting another one for the collection. Life is short buy the watch- |

Maybe in terms of secondary market price/resale value, but the meteorite dial doesn't work for me in this reference- but the blue dial sure does!

The blue dial is stunning, I do believe it has the earlier 3186 movement too.

I don’t care for the blue dial, and in my mind, a professional watch should be stainless steel. No need for gold. Just my opinion!

Really wish Rolex would release that bracelet in white gold. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

This is so true. The WG BLRO was my first Rolex. In 2017 and 2018, this forum was awash with commentary exactly as described above. There was so much negativity towards the Pepsi. It was discontinued around April 2018, then the SS was released and this forum went crazy with excitement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Pepsi on jubilee is hard to beat. One of the best references in the Rolex catalog. It just so happened to come in SS. That’s my answer and I’m sticking to it.

I'm not all that jacked, but tbh "uncomfortable" is a big stretch. Yes it's heavier than its ss cousins, but I've never had a precious metal watch be "uncomfortably" heavy. More lifting, bro! ![]() |

I would love to add a 'Meteorite' dial watch to my collection.
High chance Pepsi will be discontinued, at whatever point, not that that makes any difference, but I also love the look and feel of WG watches. Since I got my 126519 Ghost Daytona, I explored the possibility of Meteorite Daytona, but have been looking closely at the Pepsi Meteorite. My only draw back I feel, is legibility of the Dial against the hands and hour markers, they all seem to merge into one colour. I am seriously considering Pepsi Meteorite, and the more I see it the more I'm attracted to it.

The problem as I see it, is that the BLRO was available with both a black or blue dial. If it had been only available with a blue dial, then it would have been more distinctive all of the time. However, many of them came only with the black dial making it indistinguishable to the cheaper SS version without scrutiny. On the other hand, the WG Sub/Smurf has always been distinguishable as a WG piece because of its unique blue on blue format. It is immediately identifiable as a WG piece and apex sub. The dilution effect of dial variations has impacted the BLRO IMHO, although the meteorite version is special.
