Just for the record, I bought mine in spring of 2007 for $4000, with 9315 bracelet in nice shape. I spent $150 for a service with new mainspring (my local guy is excellent and reasonably priced), about $250 for a NOS domed tropic 19, $150 for a tritium pearl, and then sent it to Bob Ridley for a twin-lock crown and new case tube to have it made water-resistant (that was $100 I think). I'm not sure what it's worth now (II 70, hacking), but I'm not selling anytime soon!

The local work was done before I had known about Bob. My watchmaker (who is otherwise excellent) hadn't been able to make it waterproof with what he had (i.e without changing parts). I lived with that for awhile, but when I got the superdome a year later, decided to send it to Bob to install that and see what he could do. Turns out it just needed a new case tube (the twin lock crown wasn't necessary, but was nice to have).

Now, I must say that my watchmaker is quite reasonably priced ($150 or so for a Rolex or Tudor movement), and so if it's an uncomplicated movement service only, I still have work done by him (so far he's serviced a 1625 Thunderbird, Gilt 1016, 6694 Oysterdate, Tudor 79190 Sub). But Bob has done (besides the extra stuff on the 5513) beautiful work for me on a 2940 bubbleback, which needed new bushings (I believe) on the rotor, and also an overhaul for a '30s tonneau with Observatory movement (see my avatar), a '40s Tudor Oyster (on which he also filled in some matching lume where some had flaked off on the minute hand), as well as fashioning a new case tube and installing a flush crystal for my Oyster Centregraph, inter alia.
