JJ... first, I sincerely hope that everything is worked out quickly, your health is the most important aspect of life, and I know how frustrating it can be trying to keep our old parts working! Like... your ball joints for example... Anyway, one other thing.

Believe in Karma JJ? See.. I do, and I sincerely believe if you do something NICE for someone... oh... anyone really, like someone in San Diego maybe... something nice like... oh.. put them on the TOSSER list.....

First off JJ I hope things get better with your eye You have your family and you all have your health and that's most imporant.

The teeth and the car can and will be fixed. As overwhelming as it sounds right now, it's not that bad in the big picture. Look how fortunate you are

Going to the GTG this Thursday should put you in a much better mood

SAVE JJ

Have you considered Gold teeth at all? I think they would fit you.

All joking aside, you know that you are my friend and nothing bad can happen to any of my friends and I will be thinking of you until this is all fixed up.

No, no............it's not the poke in the eye I'm worried about at all - that I can take..........it's the wonderment of how effective all this treatment is going to be and whether I can finally have a normal right eye to look out from?

And then my bloody teeth.

Last week, whilst eating, I bit down so hard on the fork, that I snapped my front incisor. Now, I've had an implant put in and another on the right side to reinforce the front teeth from both sides.

As you guys may have guessed from my broad smiles , I wear dentures on top and bottom...............so I'm looking at around NZ$4K for the dental treatment alone!!

But wait, there's more!!

The CV ball joints on both front wheels of my beloved MAZDA are well and truly stuffed and need replacing. Yes, there's that familiar taka-taka-taka noise when making turns...............so some more expense along the way.

So why the hell am I laughing on TRF? I am positively mad!!

Cheers - JJ

HI JJ...I can imagine that anything to do with an eye is a major worry...the dentist stuff is a huge annoyance and pain as is the car...but it's the eye that must be causing you the most anxiety.

One thing I can say is that you're in the right part of the world to get the best treatment for your eye. The stress it's causing is awful...BUT you have a lot of positive energy and fantastic family support...draw on that and the 17th Feb will deal with itself. I am sure it'll be fine.

Easier said then done I know my friend...but try to stress less about it....stress is a terrible thing and has only been ignited more by that awful moment with your tooth just now.

You WILL be fine...

I really don't know you JJ except from what I have read here and you seem to be very well loved by a large fan base here on TRF. I am positive that it is well deserved as you bare your soul to everyone. It takes a real unique and genuine person to do so without fear. My take on it is I would continue to use that fearlessness as a source of strength and realize that whatever happens it will be okay. I guess with the teeth, the eyes, and whatever else my be ailing you it feels a little like piling on. You are going to do just great...no matter what and the sooner you believe that the better. In the meantime there is cocktails, good food, friends and your family loves you. Laugh all you like and scream all you want on the inside (outside might scare the crap out of people) and enjoy.

JJ, Keep your head up. Like every other person here is explaining to you, don't get down.
The car, and teeth are small potatoes. Vehicle problems are the last thing you need right now, but it happens.

You can't help what happens to your teeth chipping. Stuff happens like that all the time. Dentist fix you up, and send you on your way.

Your eye is the big stress. I had some anxiety issues due to some health problems. Just take it day, by day. You'll be fine. Were all here for you! Everone is rooting for you!

The ball joints arent expensive for your car anyway

I'm terribly sorry to hear about that JJ. I wish you the absolute best, and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. For some reason, no matter how hard one may try, everything always seems to pile up far too quickly. Just keep your chin up, and hold a positive outlook and everything will turn out just fine. As I have told you both publicly and privately, you have been a long standing friend of mine for a number of years now JJ, and it is terrible to see such a good friend (and a wonderful gentleman to boot) go through situations like this. Nonetheless, I have 100% faith that everything will go smoothly for you JJ! Keep thinking positive and you'll be fine. Not to mention laughter is always the best medicine, so laugh your arse off and look to your friends here on TRF.

All the best,
Tyler
