Agreed! I bought a M serial SD 4 days ago and will be picking up my V daytona tomorrow. Its imposible to get the Daytona when the economy recovers.

Tough choice here... but would probably get the Daytona!! It's a timeless classic. Its funny, I don't get noticed when wearing the Daytona so its a pretty subtle watch.

The opposite actually mate,

Since having my Daytona it is not noticed as much as my SD. People who are not in the "know" tend to spot a Rolex from the cyclops and chunky look.

Only true collectors/watch buffs like us would spot a Daytona...thats what ive found :)

Tough choice -- IMO, I would keep the SD and sell the Daytona. If they are both brand new V's in your name, the Daytona can be replaced, but the SD is not too easy to replace since it's been discontinued.

Keep the SD and get your name on the list at a few AD's to give you time to afford both? If they say it's a 3 year wait you have not got a problem?

The SD is long gone now - I have literally just managed to find a pre owned V serial SD and it won't be going anywhere!

True, but at the rate Daytonas are going up in price, a £6170 or £6320 with new VAT will be over £8000 in 3 years time, so he would be re-buying a Daytona again for 2 grand more.....

I say keep hold of Daytona because when the recession ends Daytonas will be impossible to get again......

At the same time the SD is gone for good so its a hard one.....but id still keep the Daytona.

I am having a tough time financially, and am doing everything to keep my V-series Daytona, because with the price increases ill never be able to afford one again a the rate they are going up.

Whatever one you keep, enjoy it :)
