Heck for nearly a year I used a conway Stewart that was smaller than the Mozart with no problems whatsoever and I write around 20 pages of A4 a day!

I should have made my initial post clearer . . . I was actually asking about the regular size Classique in reference to the Chopin. I know the Mozart is smaller than both. Thanks, Faith

Hi John. I think most pens are designed so that you can post them. It helps being that way as balance is a personal thing. Put simply if the cap posts in a secure way without needing force to stay on the the pen can be posted.

The Nakaya's are one make that are not designed to be posted but due to their large size that is not a problem and in fact the pen is designed that way!

With the Mozart (which I held today at my local pen shop) and Boheme both have a screw thread on the end of the barrel to screw the cap on and the pen is designed to be written with it on so as to balance the pen!

I remember that when I had my chopin the balance was much better with the cap posted. But my friend who now has it has much smaller hands and she finds it better balanced without!

Faith, I was in my local pen shop today and they had one last chopin in Burgundy!

If I were in your shoes, and it was affordable, I'd grab it. Since burgundy has been d/c'd, finding new pens in that color will obviously be increasingly difficult. Moreover, their scarcity should increase their worth.

Thanks Ian, it does help. I've been experimenting with both methods with my Chopin, and find it comfortable to write with both ways. However, the characteristics are noticeably different. I think the pen probably is a little better balanced with the cap posted.

Leo, I was about to add the same, I am the same hight as you...Genius loves company and it is well know us shorties have a higher IQ as there is less distance for the blood to get to the brain
