All of you safe queens need to turn your Rolexes back in. They are made to be worn and enjoyed.

Funnily I just had a problem with my.................. Panerai 104 it does not like to be worn when playing golf. It had a habit of stopping after/whilst I played.

I've only just collected it back from the AD as I thought it must have need a service. Since then I played a round of golf wearing it and guess what...... it stopped.

Now I wear my trusty ROLEX (s) for playing golf.

why is this question asked so often? is gold really that extreme?
hell, if a Rolex can endure soccer, rugby, snowboarding etc, surely, it can withstand golf..

I wouldn't wear a vintage piece while playing golf AGAIN. I have a vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville in which I played golf with once. After 9 holes the second hand fell off. I went to Omega and they fixed it with little cost or hassle. However the guy said to never use a vintage watch to play golf as the movements were not designed to be jarred like that and are much more durable today than they were in the 60s. Just my 2 cents.

I wear my Datejust hitting balls at the range. A big bucket is sometimes 100+ balls. I wear it playing golf, swimming and cycling. On the golf course, one of my group straps his Rolex on his belt while playing. I guess that is better than putting it inside the bag then forget retrieving it and park the bag outside the coffee shop.

I wore my AK all the time playing golf. I'd like to tell you I'd done with same with the Milgauss, but Chicago weather doesn't permit golf except from about 1:00-4:00 on July 22. Haven't played with it yet.

Mickelson wears his Gold DJ to play, as I recall. Of course, he swings his clubs about 40% fewer times per round than I do.

I wouldn't worry about playing golf with your Rolex. I would worry about falling off the golf cart on the 18th, and scratching it.....

The shock resistance is there to guard against the occasional mishap, not as a dare to see how much abuse you can do to it. Bashing your Rolex around to prove how tough it is seems childish. Children often end up with broken toys.
Children who brake their toys don't worry too much if they can buy new ones.
I'm not recommending anything, just stating its a tough watch, no need to treat it like a newborn.
Should I put it in a foam box while driving over rough pavement? Maybe I should take it off while brushing my teeth, the vigorous movement might pop the crystal. Cmon. I don't sweat when I wear my watches if you do put them in the safe.
