I'm back to using the Omas today. The Pelikan is going back to FPH, and a new "Binderized" one is going to be ordered from Mr. Binder.

Spot on Chaps
![]() This one is a rare beast, only 1000 made in this colour (mine is #410). It was made in 1999 so is a pre-richemont Montegrappa. The nib say's medium but in fact writes like a true fine, 18k nib plated in platinum. All the metal work you can see is stirling silver and the body is celluliod and on this one has ground mother of pearl in it to give a lovely irridescence. I normally love broad stub nibs but this one writes so smoothly and feels so luxurious to hold and is built with exquisit attention to detail that I use if regularly. I purchased it from John Mottishaw and did think about him making it a stub but thought seeing it was made in such small quantities I would leave well alone..I have not regretted that decsion! This should give a good idea of the mother or pearl effect! ![]() |

Used the Montblanc Hemingway earlier this week. It doesn't come out often, but when it does it always produces a smile.

It's a real beauty, Ian. I've been looking at some of the more recent Montegrappa's in the catalog FPH sent me and they make some stunning pieces. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Who here is knowledgeable about Namiki? I find some of their designs appealing, and they take the same refills as the Pilot G-2s. How heavy are they in relationship to a MB Meisterstuck Classique? Any info would be most appreciated. Cheers, Faith
