I had bought my SO a Cartier that she absolutely loves and wears almost daily. Then, in March while on the islands, I bought both of us Santos. She claims to love the watch, but never wears it. She says it doesnt match her clothes. We ordered some other bands for it so lets hope that changes her mind. However she doesnt shy away from me buying her jewelry. I win though as she now fully understands the sickness of the WIS....

My wife's the same way, she couldn't give a rats ass about watches......as long as she gets her diamonds every year(she works for DeBeers)she's happy.she tells time with her blackberry.

Bought my ex a couple but she only feigned interest to humour me, bless her.

Looking back I get the feeling that she didn't entirely understand the off-side rule either

I do have to say that my wifes knowledge of Rolex due to my obsession has increased drastically. Whether it's an actor in a show or in a magazine, she can name the style of watch they're wearing. For our 5 year anniversiary this year I told her we needed to both get Rolexes. She said she couldn't bring herself to spend that much, but of course I can. I got a subdate, and she got a Breitling Castallino. For our 10 year I'm going to get her a rolex masterpiece , and that will give me the leverage to get a nice presidential.

Richard, my wife is the same way. I have offered on numerous occasions to buy her a Rolex watch. She always says no, she doesn't want one.

I agree if she doesn't like expensive watches that's more money you can spend on yours! My wife didn't wear a watch and I mentioned getting her a Rolex for a graduation present from nursing school. Now she wears a watch.

My wife just do the same.

So we may console ourselves with our wives have better taste when it comes to choosing partners.

My spouse has never expressed much interest in any of my Rolexes until she saw my new Daytona on Tuesday. She loves it, and I'm willing to let her wear it occasionally, but it's quickly become my favorite.

She has worn my two-tone black Sub on rare occasions but has always told me not to "waste my money" by actually purchasing a Rolex for her.
