Well, Vanessa certainly knows more about Rolex than I do. I can relate my experience with my DJ from 1984. Before I knew that some folks said not to set the date manually using the Quick Set feature around midnight, I was doing just that. Many times I would set it, but when I pushed the winding stem in, the date was misaligned in the window. So I tried it again, and sometimes again, until it was aligned. Now I avoid setting the date around midnight and the date has aligned perfectly for me every time.

He's been infected. There are no pills, there are no shots, there are only more Rolexs, so watch out.

Congrats and enjoy! For starters don’t think about dings and dents and damage. You have a warranty, it should be good for 1 year. Within this period of time you can have watch polished etc from RSC. I was nervous at first with scratches and stuff like that. Within a week I had banged the case against belt buckle and no longer cared about scratches. Within a month I had an issue with a bend in my clasp so I went to RSC to get it fixed. 30 minutes later my problem was fixed and the watch looked NEW. I think this occurrence can be done anytime within the 1 year period so enjoy and relax.
I would however recommend wearing as much as possible to get the movement well, moving, for accuracy and vitality of moving parts this is important. In terms of cleaning, I use Dove bar soap and like they say in their commercials the stuff doesn’t leave residue and does a good job of removing dirt. Dove is gentle enough for my skin so 904L composite should be fine. Rinse, wash and dry with towel. You can baby the watch but the watch doesn’t want to be babied… It’s a grown up watch and ready for whatever you can throw at it. Enjoy and wear it! Jeremy |

Congratulations, well done!
The Sub is Rolex' most famous sports watch, and the new one is a real beauty, combinig the heritage and modern design, beside the fact that it is a precise and robust tool to measure the time. Since you asked for the keyholder, here two pictures, it is the brown item: IMG_0347.jpg IMG_0346.jpg There are other goodies you might get from a good AD, but you have to ask for it. Regards Tom |
