Would you rather us continue on the debate with CREAM? The hijacks were intentional to change the subject.

Sorry, didn't mean to hijack. I want to know how on earth those photos are taken. Chip, are you a professional watch photographer? Rolex could hire you for their website. They are unbelievable photos....

Well, I just saw this thread and the original one. After reading about it, I do agree with Arturo about this guy. IMO he didn't do anything wrong but just responded strong to any "comment" made towards him.
Once, I was like him too... years years ago far far away when I was still looking good and had a six pack sigh...

Great shots Chip, somehow I don't think my little pocket auto zoom Casio will do a job as good as that, but I do agree, there is more to taking a good Macro than just the camera.
As a general statement in relation to new members, one has to remember that they can come from many different situations and it does behove us to be accepting of them. Sometimes a new member can say something that could be viewed by others as incorrect or questionable. People do make mistakes (both new members and existing long time members), and so polite clarification, in most cases, is an appropriate response. If something is alarming, it is always open to send a personal message to one of the moderators. |

Well I learned a lot from our new member. For instance, a classy watch does not mean a classy person. And sometimes when you judge a book by its cover, you are not always wrong.

JJ and a few others gave him some very polite nudges in the two threads he started to back off a little and get a feel for the forum and he ran right over those polite hints and blasted away. Funny how you typically get the attitude you project. He got right back what he was giving. 30 watches or 300, I could care less.
