Nice watches.... also thinking about the LV....

Isnt it a bit strange or ironic , that the older blue sub has green lume and the new green sub has blue lume ( I know that all old had green and all new have blue , but it just struck me on this photo)

Enjoy !

The bracelet isn't part polished like the black ceramic. I like that very much!

For some reason I thought the center links were polished on the black ceramic sub. Now that I look back, its the GMTii ceramic I was mistaken with. My bad.

Very nice watch. 100% on the want list.

Thanks for your great review.
Just one question...When you say you would without a second thought prefer the older model did you mean the older model LV, or the 1680 or the TT that you show in your photographs?

It´s a bit modern and flashy, but like the color Rolex found for this Sub.
Just take a loo on your own wrist at your local AD, to have a good idea, as the green is very difficult to catch in pictures. It changes all the time, as the light plays with the dial surface!
Kind regards, Abel.
I hear what u r saying about the ever changing shade
of green. I'll be looking for one in the wild. I used to flip
my cars ever two years or so as I grew tired of them. It was
costly. I really can't afford to lose a grand or two on the sale
of the gmt and then have to cough up more money
for a new sub. So, I'll proably have to enjoy the green
sub from afar for now.

Hello Steve! Thank you!
I have been wearing a Submariner since I was 18 years old: my 5513 from 1966 though 1977 in which it was stolen, and replaced by my 1680 which I still own.
Then, a couple of years, I bought a 14060M to replace my 1680, which I retired to special occasion use, because I am afraid to lose in a robbery. (Things are really bad lately here, in the security department!)

For many many years, my Subs (old models) have been my only watch, and worn daily, sleeping and bathing with it, and scuba diving from time to time.
I got very accustomed to its balance, feel and weight, and with my phrase above, I wished to refer to that. I guess the old LV and TT, feel the same on the wrist as my old 5513 and 1680.
And I like better the looks of the vintage Subs, or the 16610 and 14060, when seen on my wrist.

Then, the new Sub C, feels different, though it has been a few days since I got it.
The watch looks and wears as a bigger watch, though I suspect this is a visual thing only.
The watch shares more or less same size and weight, except for the thicker lugs, and wider crown protectors, and this gives the impression of a bigger size model.
It also looks like having more height, but I took the measure, and it is the same as the 14060M.

One thing I like better in previous models, is that the bracelet follows a more streamlined form from the narrower lugs, than the big gap it forms in the new model, as the bracelet has the same 20 mm size, but lugs are more wide.

Anyway, the watch is very, very well made, and finished, and keeps with the tradition of Rolex.

Thank you again for your interest in my findings, just a personal point of view, of course.
Best cordial regards, Abel.
