So true...we all get use to good things....good idea to rotate watches, match clothes, etc for a special occasion. A functional watch can be had for $10, but fine swiss watches are little works of art to be savored and enjoye! Just have a cheap watch to put on from time to time so you can contrast it against the fine quality of a Rolex!

I'm with you: I don't like that watch at all. The GMT was a great watch, though, once upon a time. If I were you, I'd sell or trade for a Pepsi GMT II.

I haven't had any long enough to say (May of this year first one) exactly how I will feel for sure in the future. But I have yet to get bored with any of mine yet. It probably helps to be able to rotate amongst a number of them though.

Thanks for the WoW (words of wisdom) Paulie. I've been feeling like this for awhile with this one. I almost traded it for a fifty fathoms about a year ago. I bought this on impulse. Maybe it was a mistake.

The feeling you're having is that only of a WIS. None-the-less, there seems to be a hunger that needs satiating. I'd imagine it would only be by replacing the piece, but that's just my personal experience. My mantra is this: You know you have a great watch when you put it on after not wearing it for a while and it still sings. It took me a while to find the right pieces, but I can honestly say this about all mine....

I understand where you are coming from, but it's with my DSSD. I put away my ss GMT IIc a few weeks ago. Things weren't going bad in my life, but things have been more difficult than I like. I really don't think things have changed, but I'm much happier looking at my DSSD these days during "the grind."

Puts me in a better state of mind.

As you know, I've had the same feeling before which is why those pieces aren't with me anymore.

I'd encourage you to wear the watch for a few days and see how you feel. You already know how you feel after having it OFF the wrist for an extended period of time. If it still doesn't 'do it' for you and you feel like you wouldn't miss it, I say let it go, even if there's not a 'replacement' in mind now. No sense in keeping a pricey watch around if you don't love wearing it!

I guess i just happens sometimes. And sometimes it just comes and goes. But if the "lovin' felling" doesn't come back, it's the watch that should go.

I myself tried a GMT IIc the other day and it fit my wrist perfectly. It felt much more comfortable than my Sub 16610. But I just didn't feel the "quintessencially" of the SS Sub when I put the GMT IIc on and so it did nothing for me.

It must be hard feeling that after buying it brand new...

but gmt 2c is such a nice watch. super elegant and shiny but thin so only you notice it

IMO you have to wear it for some time and not take it off so that u can really evaluate your feeling before doing anything with it
everybody will love the sub it is easy to be loved it doesn't have anything extra or diffrent it is simple, the GMT IIC is similer to sub IN 80% exept that it is diffrent IN 20 % !!!! SO IT IS A WATCH THAT NEED SPECIAL LOVE, IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
so after you try it if u don't like it u will probably have to sell it cos that love can't be forced, but must try to see if it is there deep inside you
