In UK the SS Sub C black was last month £ 4610, now is £ 4740.My local AD told me that in january prices will go up becouse of the VAT increase and then they will go up again at the end of the month becouse of Rolex policy.I would just buy a new watch and keep it.

After WWll Rolex were good watches and also somewhat expensive, now they have becomme expensive jewels . I am not sure the prices will again be multiplied by 20 (+ inflation) in the next 50 years unless they find a new concept to step up from jewel to something more desirable .

But sand has been turned to gold in certain areas so who knows !

Think I made a mistake : $ 150 from 1957 have the buying power of $ 1.167.

So the prices have been multiplyed by 5 for the Sub.

1) White Gold blue Sub
2) Milgauss GV
3) White gold Daytona with black dial and Red hands.
4) White gold Daytona with silver dial.

Since 3 of these four are heavy hitters, it might be a while before my next purchase. I have also been looking at 5513s, 1680s, and 16800s. You never know what I might do next.

BTW, here is a shot from my last set of dives. It is one of the best dive pictures that I have ever been able to capture. The colors/lighting were almost perfect.

Red-lipped blenny about 3" in length.

Thx Jason,Superb.

Well it will come back to the law of supply and demand. There is always someone willing to pay for the price Rolex is asking..
