congrats on the new time piece!
im not 100% sure, but i thought the script along the rehaut was included in serial (late) Z to present? you mentioned your TOG is serial D? anyway, enjoy it in good health!

Nice watch, but I am partial to Turn-O-Graphs!
You should add a picture of it to the Turn-O-Graph thread. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...=118957&page=6 Robert |

Congrats on the watch, very attractive!
1) Do not use a Capecod cloth on the non polished (brushed) areas, it will remove the satin finish. Scratch removal all depends where the scratches are on the watch, probably best to leave them alone for now. 2) Rolex recommends a full service at about every five years or so, it costs about $500. If the watch needs adjustment (running fast or slow) you can have it adjusted at a service center. 3) The clasp should snap shut securely, if it's loose bring it to the AD for adjustment. That clasp is the only thing holding that chunk of metal on your wrist! 4) The crown may face in any direction when screwed down, different on each individual watch. The important thing is to always keep it screwed all the way in when wearing it (don't force it though). Paul |

I'm pretty certain that that engraving goes back years from the Z serials.. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Great choice and great watch. My favorite watch is my father's 1950's TT TOG with black face. As far as service and polishing-- service every 5-7 years should be plenty. And, I don't polish till I send it for service because I usually don't think they need it. RSC service runs about $550.

Nice Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph watch!
Almost bought one (might yet!) in the Steel & Everose gold with black face. The red second hand looks sharp and really sets off the look of this fine watch. Hope you enjoy it for many years! Cheers |

That is fantastic combo, TOG in RG and SS! I`ve never been big fan of rose gold, but I love this TOG since I tried it`s cousin couple months ago!
Wear it in a great health! Huge congrats!
