I don't see how some light-hearted drumming can affect any ROlex.

When I lived in Florida I was a FFL dealer had had my SOT. My Rolex's have been through a TON of full auto fire with no issues of any kind. Tens and tens of thousands of rounds....I am actually headed to Washington DC to play with the Secret Service at the range this weekend...Your watch will hold up, but it will be subjected to more abuse.

Your wrist acts as a shock absorber.
If you were to drop the watch onto a hard surface from a height of several feet, that may be a different matter. |

Just because you can does not mean you should. I would wear something else while drumming. Over time it will cause excessive wear.

I read a post a year ago or so where someone reported that his watch seemed to gain/lose several seconds when he wore it drumming. So, I'd also suggest you take it off. I think "hard" drumming causes a lot more shocks than golf, MC driving etc. It's not just the drumming per se but also the "dangling" on the wrist.

A friend of mine went skiiing with his TT Datejust and I don't remember if he took a fall or maybe did some hard moguling, but the hands on his DJ went "out of sync" in other words, he could no longer get the minute hand to line up with the 12 and the hour hand with one of the numbers.
