actually, Dell, if I may have one question, what is the model number for the Seiko Diver shown next to the Seiko Digital in the photo before the 6538?

I have actually came across one this past weekend at a vintage dealer, didn't know what it was but thought it looked very cool then. which film was it in?

Not sure I'm seeing which one you've asking me to identify. Here are two reference images from my James Bond Watch Photo site; let's see if this helps.

This is the Seiko "tuna," model S60583, caliber 7549-7009, similar to the 600m titanium diver worn by Roger Moore as James Bond during the St Georges wreck dive in For Your Eyes Only (1981):

This is the Seiko model SPW001, caliber H558-5000, similar to the (duo-display, alarm) 150m diver worn by Roger Moore as James Bond primarily during the Paris sequences in A View to a Kill (1985).

Sorry, didn't see this question last time I read through--

Timothy Dalton wore a Heuer or TAG Heuer 980.031 PVD "Nite Dive" model as James Bond throughout the pre-title sequence in The Living Daylights. So did the bad guy (who got killed when the truck blew up, after he drove it off the Gibraltar road); so did Felix Leiter, at least in his last scenes in the film.

Here's a photo of the model we're talking about:

Okay, so, while confidence is extremely high on the one above, this next one is a lot lower. It is believed that Dalton wore a Heuer / TAG Heuer Professional 980.013, similar to the one shown below, throughout most of the rest of the movie:

Indeed. The "they" was actually me; and it was very much done for a reason. Any of you James Bond fans here care to weigh in?

The bezel alignment is in the same position as it was in the close up of Goldfinger, worn by Sean Connery

You're not the only one.

As many folks here know, the original Hamilton factory was within spittin' distance of the Museum where the Hamilton Pulsar P2 is currently on display as part of the "Bond Watches" exhibit. So we've seen a lot of cases where Pennsylvania television coverage and newspaper stories have led with - if not dominantly emphasized - this watch.

Point of trivia: In preparation to display this P2, I'd acquired a spare caseback with the idea of cutting a hole in the back of it for wires that would run out to a switch mounted externally on the exhibit cabinet. That way, visitors could actually see it work "at the push of a button."

Like all the other watches in this exhibit, the Hamilton Pulsar is fully functional. But, without also powering it with something other than its internal batteries, we doubted the "see for yourself how it tells time via original LED read-out" wouldn't prove a nightmare to maintain throughout the exhibit run.

No worries: Seiko is well represented and respected at this display.

One of the reasons I held off on revealing the first definitive list of James Bond watches provided to Eon Productions by Seiko UK was because exhibit co-sponsor Revolution magazine wanted to break the story as a feature article. Although this was published in their 4th quarter 2010 issue, I'd submitted all copy and materials in April (and had fundamental confirmation from my contacts at Seiko UK the year before that).

Hence, although print media still enjoys strong advantages in terms of credibility, you have to be prepared to accept routinely long - and sometimes very long - lead times before your material appears.

Been away for quite awhile...but with my own personal 1016..and the absolute AMAZEMENT i felt while there...and the hopsitality of Mr deaton..this exhibit should go down in history! seeing the effort that went into this UP CLOSE in person was more than I expected. I will try and weigh in more later on.

Thankfully our significant others had something in common to discuss otherwise (ie, dog training) while we indulged in all that was James Bond, Rolex, and all the other James Bond watches at hand!
