Yep, I'll never flip my green dialed Anny, YG GMT-Master II.

Gorgeous watch w/a capital "G."

Cheers,

Definitely never my Milgauss.

Not a flipper so can't see ever flipping my GMT either, but never say never.

Yes, all of them. All 1 of them. I'm a collector, not a flipper.

I would love to get all sentimental and say that the Rolex I received for my college graduation is a lifetime keeper, but the fact is, I am a realist and everything has a price. The watch is merely a placeholder for the memory, but not the memory itself.

BTW...the first offer over $125,000 USD takes it. I will even include free overnight shipping!

In my experience, and this may be a little contentious, but some watch collectors are a bit like bird watchers or train spotters No offence meant by that sordid comparison Clearly, I enjoy spending time with watch collectors but can not say the same thing about train spotters or bird watchers !!!

But just as train spotters or bird watchers will trapse all around the country seeking out trains/birds to cross off their list as having seen them. The flippers amongst us behave in a very similar way in that they want to have owned certain watches but as soon as they have done so, they have another target on the horizon and flip existing watches to fund the new ones...... and so it goes on..... presumably until they have had them all and just own absolute grails.

As for me, I'm an absolute hoarder when it comes to things I enjoy owning Rather expensive though.... as requires fresh cash for every new purchase!!!

All of them except maybe my DJ, which was my first but it will only happen if I upgrade it to a YG DD.

Also have a AP manual ultra thin skeleton and a Breitling Gen II Navitimer both of which were given to me by my father so those are keepers as well. A RG IWC Port. which was a wedding gift from my wife and I can't see myself selling my MIH watch I bought when in Switzerland for our honeymoon....

OK

WOW

I have issues!!!

Right there that is 6 watches I won't sell...
I have one other I am very unlikely to sell
a few I am just holding and a few I want to sell...

WOW I have issues!!

Thanks for your comments and inputs.

I forgot to mention: I have another one I will never flip, it is my very first Rolex SS DJ from1982.

I bought it as a student, it took me quite some time to earn and save that money.....

Sentimental reason.

My first nice watch ever.

I am getting a little bored with it, so I'm most likely going to mod it! Stay tuned.

I would never flip my first a 1992 Sub Date. It will go to my daughter (currently 10) when I am gone and if she gives it to her husband I will haunt them both. What would you expect from a think headed Irishman.
