Greetings all - new to this forum and currently vacationing in the Grand Cayman. I was browsing around Georgetown and went into Kirk Freeport to browse and wow pretty nice store. I tried on a couple of Rolex watches (SubC and DJII) and instantly fell in love with them.
My current collection consist of Breitlings (Super Avenger, SteelFish, Jupitor Pilot, Chronomat B01 limited) and an Omega Planet Ocean 45.5. I am really interested in the SubC and Kirk Freeport is selling it for $7650USD. Do you guys think that is a good deal or can I get it cheaper in Toronto or Montreal where I live? |

AD's in Canada seem to give much larger discounts. I got 25.5% off MSRP. The problem is that Ontario has 13% tax, so that hurts. Still a great deal, though.

I tell you...I couldn't find a discount from AD but I FOUND a LV at a AD and bought it for original MSRP...it FELT Like a discount as it was 3k+ less than the new Submariner. LOL
I don't think this post added anything to the discussion!!!!!! |

I don't doubt a guy like you who must buy a couple of Rolexes a month from the same AD could get a discount on ANY Rolex. However, most of us don't do this. I am also saying that the idea that an AD will start lopping dollars off a fast moving steel watch like a Sub to a walk in "customer" is quite doubtful. Big city ADs simply wait for a tourist to cone in and throw down msrp on a watch. Why should he discount? |

That being said, I buy from several AD's and have gotten 20+ on SS Sub on a first purchase so it is possible Usually I buy to flip for a profit but of course this inst always the case... Why not. If I can buy a new Rolex, wear it for awhile and sell it for a profit everyone is happy

Check out his signature.... he has a 116618 GOLD SUB... I would assume the OP is saying he received a 9k discount on this Sub C in the Bahamas, NOT $900:thumb sup:
