Albeit at a much higher price ....I don't think the price of the SD can get much higher than it already is down the road IMHO...while the list price for the SubC will just get higher and higher

5 to 10 years from now you might regret not keeping the SD and it's harder to get one at the right price.

I wore the Sub-C every day for over 6 months, but now I'm a SD 16600 guy. There are things I vaguely miss about the Sub-C, primarily the glidelock adjustment, but I really like the SD better for a number of reasons: no cyclops, less blingy bezel, thick case and crystal, yet it still flies under the radar. I also love the bezel surround on the SD. It's a classic Rolex design. I may one day get another Sub-C, but the main thing that polarized me against it was the over-the-top lugs and I feel like the non-ceramic bezels are better for tool watches.

If it was my choice I would pick the SD, but the choice is yours. Enjoy whichever sings to you.

It's tough you can't keep both. At the end, I'd hold on to the SD.
Good luck! |

unless the SD is just too uncomfortable that you wouldn't wear it, i would keep it.
i stupidly let my 2006 model go after about 3 months of ownership back then and am only just now getting back into the rolex game. not a day goes by now that i dont wish i had kept that beauty. the sub-c is REALLY nice, ive tried it on 3 times in the last week...it just doesn't have the same soul to me as my old SD! |

Without a doubt: KEEP THE SD! It is THE Rolex diver - a true classic.

Keep the SD. I've sold my first SD only to buy another back and sold a new one to a friend and wish I had kept it
