The 'insert' so to say is the ceramic part. The surround is still SS. I'm not sure if you can change the ceramic part without changing the SS bezel too. If you can, I imagine it's quite difficult.

The ceramic doesn't scratch, and it has a great shine to it. I think that's the advantage.

Welcome toTRF.

You've found the right place.

A winder isa conveinance or can be used for display purposes. It's by no means necessary but they can be helpful for those who like to pickup and go when watches have not been worn for over a couple of days. I don't find that I need any winders especially since it takes very little time to set wind and go.

I totally relate!.I've already got a few items picked out to wear when I get The Call to pick up my next "fix".

And welcome to the forum....many of us here share your illness.

yeah I am starting to do the clothes to the watch thing also.

But how about wearing something that clashes with the watch to make the watch "pop"

I do that once in a while in a subtle way - solid light blue shirt with blue/green striped tie and wear with my 16610LV. It works.

In the past 8 months I have purchased a Milgauss LV, a SS Sub with Blue ceramic and Blue dial w larger hour markers and a Black Explorer II PVD DLC with a white face. Also purchased my wife a DJ masterpiece with white gold diamond bezel.

Now I want the Green LV Sub, a Pepsi and a Daytona.

Thanks in advance!

John
