If you can't really tell the difference yet I think you probably need to study them closer before making a decision. The more you look at them you will probably start to like one more than the other.
I really like the GMTIIc but the SubC would be my choice in SS. It is IMO the best tool watch on the market and classic Rolex. If I were to get a GMTIIc it would probably be a TT or YG unless they bring out a Coke or Pepsi in ceramic. The Sub is great to wear daily as the brushed centre links don't show up scratches the same. The GMT is a bit more blingy with the polished centre links but will begin to show scuffs and scratches after a few months. As they both have ceramic bezels you don't need to worry about putting dings into a metal bezel or scratching an aluminium bezel with either. Both watches are stunning in the flesh - only you can make the right choice for you. Good luck you are on to a winner either way. |

That is a tough decision. I'd go with the Sub (116610 LN). I've tried both on, and the Sub is just so classic and gorgeous. The GMT with those Polished Center Links looks too much like a dress watch. If I was you, I'd get a 16610 older Submariner and a 16710 older GMT. Here's some pics, borrowed from the web.
Submariner 116610LN: Older 16610 Submariner Date: 116710 GMT Master II: Older 16710 GMT Master II:

In fact, get them all. Seriously, had my sub ss non date for a week and I'm in love. Had a look at the GMTs and they didn't do puppy eyes and say "Buy me". Looked at my sub and it just said; "Me." Oops! - just seen your last post - went for the GMT. Well, that's the one that told you to take it home. Cool. Congrats. By the one you think you will love the most. Simples! |

Try them both on and see which one you like the most or suits your style.
