I have a LV subC and like it, and was thinking about a LN to shark mod. The green is cool, but you cant beat the shark!

I am a first time buyer and had similar thoughts to the OP. In the end I know I am going to love it, I am hoping to receive mine in the post today!!!

The problem I find with the LN is that some pics it looks stunning, some pics can look ordinary. The pics on this thread make me drool!!!

The BIGGEST headache I had was that I was tempted by the LV however went for the LN for following reasons:

1) It is my only watch (sold to fund this) hence Black was safer option
2) Its the classic Sub hence if it ends up being my only sub I would rather it was black
3) Its cheaper
4) The LV required a 2 month wait by my AD
5) Im a Bond nut!!
6) Can always obtain LV if need be at later date :)

Man I wish the post man would turn up this morning with the damn thing - I guess waiting is part of the excitement - right?

i thought a lot (and i do mean a lot...) about "wasting" that much money on a watch and i needed a holiday state of mind to be able to pull the trigger but i have never regreted it since and i still believe that it was the best way to spend that money.
i was hesitating between the ln and the lv but the hefty discount on the ln and the fact that i wanted an every day watch and wasn't sure about the green was a deciding factor.
i still think that in the current rolex ss professional line the sub-c is the most versatile watch.

If you have a LV, why not get a GMT IIc in stead of another sub. Then you have one green and one black

I have a GMT IIc and absolutely love it. But I'm considering an sub LV

You have to scour the for sale boards..most of them turn up for sale from Sweden. Dalton and Beau of ABC Watch Works in Los Angeles does the conversion...

The new subs are such well made pieces - you can't go wrong with either. My choice ended up being the LVC - & I love it....so some more green love here!

YES!

It's the best Rolex decision I made in years. Enough so....that I did what Eric/ESM did...I bought both! Crazy, having two of the same design...but I love the fit and how it wears.

Huge congrats. Hope you are not going to wear them both "at the same time"

yes I do. It's my first Rolex and can't be happier. Love the shiny ceramic bezel, the weight of the watch & the overall look.

Now just looking around for a dress watch....

I picked one up at the beginning of last month.

I haven't let it wind down yet and it's +1 second. Apart from that, the Sub C is the most versital watch I own hands down.

My crowning achievement!

You already know how awesome the bracelet and clasp are. You probably yearn for the practically of black over green. I say go for it and don't look back!!

Yes I love my 116610LN.

I traded up from a 16610LV that I also loved but I do love the LN. I had to decide between the new LV and new LN but as it was going to be the only watch I decided on the black, and I really am happy with it :)

Your feedback is appreciated.

Thanks,
I have owned many, many watches from many high-end brands and owned many models of Rolex. To me, the Sub C comes closest to being the perfect "one" watch. Not to mention that I don't think I will buy another watch unless it comes with an adjustable clasp. As I have gotten older, I find my wrists really swell and contract and the easy-link does not always make for the comfortable fit I need.

I just ditched my new Exp II 42 for this reason, never really found it comfortable to wear and am now back to the Sub C.
