Why in the world would you do that? Are you familiar with the concept of the time value of money? At 0% interest over X months, you are always better to take the financing than pay outright, even if you have the cash on-hand. Mathematically speaking, of course.

Nothing wrong with doing 0% for 18 months as long as you keep up with the payment and finish paying it in the alloated time. Two things to watch out for...one, if you are late on your payment then the interest will automatically go up dramatically (e.g. 24-25%). If you dont pay the entire amount by the allocated time then you pay the full accrual interest for the 18 months regardless if you have been up to date with your payments for the last 17 months. The latter I'm not sure of what Tourneau is offering but most of these loans are setup like this. Read the fine print before nose diving into such loans. Another thing to think about is that your credit score will take the hit when they run your credit regardless if you finalized the loan or not. Should be no more than a couple of points but if your credit score is borderline and you're about to finance a big loan such as your house, I would shy from entering a loan now and focus on finalizing other loans first. Cash will always be king as long as you can invest it properly and used this loan to free up your cash. My .02 cents.

It's Probably either/or. The 0% isn't really 0%. They have thatuxh discount to play with and they use that discount to buy the rate down to 0.
