But not the 1098.

*I just bought a Triumph Thruxton - black with 2:1 Arrows as I am finding the 1098 a handful every weekend so this one will make for a quiet ride when I feel like it. Dalip will just have to ride the Ducati when he comes over.

*Truth is my wife bought it for me 'cos I thinks she is aware of how hard the 1098 is on me after a ride.

Wow Des - that was a quick pic and post!!!!

Thanks guys -

Have been enjoying the car all day -

Wonderfully understated ....

It's a superbly finished and detailed car - beautiful sound - the DSG gearbox is a work of art. It seriously shifts. A pure drivers car...Just wish we'd had these when I was engaging in high speed police pursuits around the UK (as a copper that is) -

All wheel drive is sensational - can really turn on the power out of corners...incredible suspension and balance....

It's having a track day very soon

Very cool wheels Dalip

I tried that DSG gearbox on an Audi TT 3.2 a few years back and more recently the DSK gearbox on a Porsche 911 and they're quite unbelievable.

I've gone from a complete manual only guy to a complete DSG/DSK convert. The speed of change is astounding and virtually computer game quick

You'll be amazed how much quicker you will be on the track..... Enjoy

Dalip did you get some huge discount when they put on a Beetle exhaust?

Congrats my friend to a great choice.

Thanks all...really appreciate your comments....makes it all the more enjoyable

Understated for here Spudsy....and compared to all big V8 HSVs and WRX STi's/Evo's (in the same price band) etc that most think are the rapid wheels....

Steve - sounds like you're well familiar with the DSG - had it on the R32...but the new R just flies through the changes

Our track here is tight...7 turns and well suited to this type of car....

...and of course a stage 1 upgrade will be done soon enough - gives a massive boost to the R engine..

Mitch...looks like you're coming to the track with me

Some details of the stage 1 upgrade stats:

Stage I ECU Upgrade

Not only does our Stage I ECU Upgrade give you higher peak numbers of 239kw and 435nm. Gains of up to 49kw are available on 98 RON! APR's ECU Upgrade is the best power per dollar modification for the new 2.0T FSI and gives it just the extra edge these cars lack from the factory without pushing the limits. With factory like smoothness and drivability APR's ECU Upgrade will fill the void in an otherwise excellent car.

Required Hardware: None to Meet Advertised Results
Recommended Hardware:* APR/Carbonio Intake, APR 3" RSC Catback Exhaust, APR Intercooler
