Thing I like about the Explorer II, sometimes I look at and it looks like a really vintage watch!

White Dial? Black Dial?
I know I could not go wrong wither way. Ultimately it came down to what smiled at me. The black dial did. What do you guys think? I know that the white dial seems to be the favorite around here. |

Love the new CC style warranty and no hologram. No muss, no fuss! No worry about preserving the hologram and easier to keep track of the warranty!

Nooo it was quite the challenge. I kind of analyzed the two choices you had available to come up with my hypothesis.
Take the GMT, its a new style, everyone is going for it and they want to buy it, people will automatically think that you bought that watch. Take the Explorer II, its been out for a while, its not their best selling sports model, a lot of people would say that you got the GMT first when given this combination. So using some logic, I went against that theory I just said. I thought it was a trick, everybody would choose the GMT and I thought it was to obvious of a trap to say GMT. So I went with the Explorer II. I hope I was clear with this explanation Tom.

Explorer II Black Dial, now that is "THE" tool watch!!
Caving, International Travel, Mountain Trekking, Door Kicking, Shooting, Hunting, Know what time to call your foreign girlfriend, etc.. The watch does it all!! Once you get used to a Dual Time watch, it is hard to go back to a single time watch! |

I do plan to move overseas soon, so that is why I wanted a two time zone watch.

Well, that is one reason I like the GMT II with hour increment clicks! Green hand is set to USA time for bussiness contacts and Parents, then click bezel 12 clicks to the left and get the time zone that Khmer/Chinese Hottie is in to IM or Call her! LOL LOL LOL LOL
Just wish I had a foriegn girlfriend. We can solve that! Besides if I marry a Khmer Girl, I need an American Neighbor to discuss guns, watches and politics with! LOL LOL |

What a perfect example for needing a three timezone feature.

Funny thing.....
Congrats on the Exp II Black face. I was pretty much expecting you to have jumped on the bandwagon and have bought the new SS GMTII.
I'm on dial-up intenet, so images download more slowly for me. As a result, your "unveiling" shot was opening and I was fully expecting the SS GMTII; I was startled to see the Exp II and more importantly, I was suprised by my very first, visceral response, which was "Wow! That's much nicer than the oversized font-bling of the (still extremely nice) GMT II!" Just my 2 Cents.......I still think of the Exp II black face as the quintessential explorer's watch, remembering the great full-page 1970's National Geographic ads from my youth........I don't know if I would go white dial or black, but the Exp II is still a beaut. Congrats on and excellent choice! Chris |

Thanks Syafiq and welcome to the forum. I see you have the Black Dial Explorer II also!
I am really loving the SS models. I think I am done with TT. This Explorer II fits better on my wrist than any other Rolex I have ever worn. |
