About once per week with warm soapy water.
I don't really obsess about it, but the watch not only looks better, but feels better on the wrist and of course cleanliness will prolong the life of the bracelet.

Am I the only one here who never has cleaned my watches? Other than wiping off the crystal with my tshirt if something gets on it.

I'm wondering too whether it is just the demographic cross-section of the population who favor their watches enough to participate on an internet forum? I thought I would have had more responses replying that it's not cleaned regularly and holding up fine. Definitely did not expect to see so many of the "wash it once-per-week" crowd. I'm going to try to be more diligent about it.

Alright, I just ordered a Veraet basic kit (liquid, cloths and brush). Will update when I receive it and have a chance to test it.

Mine gets cleaned everytime I take a shower. An old toothbrush and soap works great.

I shower at least twice a day, usually 3x (morning, after workout, evening before bed) and in the morning I clean the Rolex for at least 3 minutes using a toothbrush and mild dish soap with hot water. Once a week I leave the watch in a very hot bath (at first) in my bathroom bowl sink and do the cleaning routine the next morning.
I might be OCD but I have realized if you take care of anything it lasts forever: 320,000 miles on my Mercedes diesel bought in college (many moons ago) with 59,000 miles and still going strong, in perfect cosmetic condition too. |

I'll wash it with mild soap maybe 4 times a week. I know it doesn't need to be washed that often, but I enjoy the process. I've never let my watch get in a condition that it required a brush to clean 'gunk.'

For the bracelet only that would be Ok. I've read two things about the Ultra Sonic cleaner and using it on the watch. It could force fluid into the watch and or the ultrasonic vibrations can damage the movement.

Ultrasonic clean bracelets only every 3-4 months. Light soap and brush when I can be bothered.

I always used Windex also since the mid '70s, 11 watches total and never a problem. Lately I have been using Dawn dish soap and a tooth brush, it gets the gunk out and rinses clean.

I use to drop mine in a glass of beefeater gin, but that got to be kinda expensive. Now it's cleaned in the shower since they are on 24/7 and I don't drink anything but vino. Everyone at work still uses gin but me
