Agree 100% - David is an awesome seller! Very honest very responsive. No reason to waste money at an AD.

I really wanna buy from a TRF. I do. One other issue is that David can't have it here til Wednesday and I can't be here to sign then.

Have David hold it at your local FedEx hub and then you can go pick it up yourself. That is what i do since I'm not home during the day. Plus, it is safe until you go and get it.

I vote that you buy from your local AD. Discounts will mean less (if anything) if a price increase comes. If Rolex does push hard on the boutique selling model, you could also get screwed. Bottem line, it will not be getting cheaper.

If all works out I'll be buying it tomorrow and having it shipped to me by Tuesday to save taxes (for now). Keep you posted.
rob,

I cant work out how not one AD will not discount the hulk for you if you pay in in full on the day? In the UK the hulk is readily available and many uk members have gotten some great discounts....maybe in the US they arnt as common? I really can't see Rolex holding back production on this model to create "hype" as some have said on the forum......

I do understand that if prices go up soon then you would have been better to buy now but if we are to believe the recent posts that the dealer margins have slimmed down in place of a price increase for customers then I'm sure we wont see another price increase any time soon....there must be an AD willing to take your business with a discount thrown in....

By the way I can reiterate that the hulk is a stunning piece....love mine and glad I bought when I did!

Wait to find a discount from an AD. This is the only way to know that it's 100% original Rolex. Do you have an out of state address you can have them ship it to to save on sales tax?

Well, thanks for all the advice and opinions. I found an AD to do 0% for a year, ship out of state to avoid tax and cover that shipping cost. I stilll paid full retail, but will have the watch I want 2 days before my flight.

It's set to arrive at my office tomorrow. Plenty of pics to follow. A long 24 hours ahead of me now!

There are some very respectable dealers here that you can be assured give the user 100% authentic watches, and I can vouch for this given my past purchases.

Wire to DavidSW. Enjoy a discount and save the 3% fees. It's really that simple.

And you'll have it for your vacation which will be awesome!

I had no problem with confidence in using a wire transfer. I just didn't have all the cash. The funds are coming from the sale of my tt blac subc which isn't sold yet. Therefore the interest free financing came in handy. Once the subc is sold I'll pay this off and I wound up getting it (hopefully) for vacation.
