Thanks Thomas. Yes I'm loving it too It's one of the few I have without a date function and the simplicity of the dial is really attractive.

Yes that's a beautiful watch too but just a bit big for my tastes plus I have always really liked the Deep Sea

(what happened to the Porsche? )
Thanks Eric.....

The Porsche is still on the horizon. I sold my 996 Carrera S last year and still have a full package Boxster S which the little lady uses (plus me now) and also an old Triumph TR6 roadster. Trouble is I have worked out I did a total of 3,000 miles last year between all 3 of them........ and with all the road works in London pre-Olympics, congestion charge (£2,500 post tax) and NCP parking (£2,000 post tax) ..... my sensible head (for once) is just thinking is it worth spending best part of £100k on something I will hardly use and will be worth £50k in a 3 or 4 years time.

So I'm thinking of putting it on hold for a bit.....

Thanks guys

Really appreciate all the kind words and JLC lurve.

I am now just thinking what new strap to get from ABP to go with it. The current calf leather it came with, whilst nice, is a bit thin and is just not doing it for me. I popped into the JLC Boutique on Bond Street on Sat morning just to look at strap options and the black alligator went really well.... sort of dressed it up and yet looked sporty and cool....

So I was thinking black alligator but with stitching and lining to match the lume..... so a sort of pale green colour????? Well whatever the matching colour is..... I'm notoriously colour blind on browns and greens

But there again ABP now do some waterproof leathers like shark and even seal skin.

Thoughts ?

Really a beautiful watch!
I got to try one on at a JLC dinner
a while back.
The only thing that surprised me
was that the bezel did not rotate.

Yes.... just in keeping with the original which also didn't rotate.

But you don't really need it to rotate as the middle section of the dial rotates to set the alarm. So there is no need for an elapsed time bezel at all which you may forget to look at whilst diving.....whereas the alarm notifies you when it is time to ascend even if you forget to look at your watch.

The new one has luminous triangle markers on the bezel which the original didn't so a slight change...but overall, almost exactly like the original.
