Hey Gabriel. I don't think it's anymore difficult to judge and, indeed, there are only 4 DRSD dial variations.

However, because the DRSD sold in fairly low numbers, the considerably higher value means that putting a DRSD dial in a White SD increases the value much more in comparitative terms than the same in a 1680 Sub.

A good DRSD will be worth perhaps up to twice the value of a good Red Sub so there's a big incentive to swap dials if you can access one.

Other than the dial, the only real difference is the caseback and indeed some later DRSD have been shown to have been issued from new with the same caseback as the white SD i.e. with the lettering in a circle (so the ROLEX not across the back under the crown).

Therefore the serial number is critical and this is why so many members above are so suspicious in this case. At 6m, it would really need some original paperwork to confirm and as others have said, it would always be frowned upon without this.

But if you can buy at a price equal to the sum of it's parts (so less than a bona fide original) then maybe worth considering. But this is probably priced as a full DRSD and the dealer is relying on their name authenticating it...... Which should never be relied upon ......

welcome to the forum ,,, lots of solid advice there , probably not what you were wanting to hear ,, but better now than after the deals done , you would be a long time kicking yourself if you dealt wrong.
lets know how it all goes. hard to think an hour with a case tool and a felt tip pen is worth 10k.
