The GMT, as with most any Rolex, can handle anything your wrist can. Sure you'll get some scratches, but don't obsess over things you have no controll of.

Wear mine about four days a week. Have worn it to the beach and swimming in the ocean. PCLs still look great. Clasp has some swirls, but who cares, it's a clasp.

I wear mine almost everday since I bought it 7 months ago. I will just enjoy the watch since I have paid so much for it

I would not brush a Rolex PCL bracelet.
If I had a concern as to how it would stand up to my daily regime I would take the bracelet off and buy a brushed aftermarket bracelet.

The question isn't whether the watch can handle the abuse as a daily wearer (it obviously can); it's whether the owner can handle the after effects of the abuse. Looking down and seeing every little scratch and scar has driven some close to madness.

i think for the average person that has a desk job the GMT 2 C should be a suitable everday wearer.

It can take the abuse, but why would you want it to? One FTX was sometimes enough to trash my watch, I never wore anything of great value out in the field....YMMV.

Buy a gshock, they were meant for abuse. Godspeed to you.

Grab some insurance on the thing and wear the heck outta it. Lifes to short to put it in a safe:) happy Easter from Iraq all
Oh wow... Didn't know we had anyone left in country... Happy Easter!

Depends on the field problem I guess... Some are definitely worse than others. FWIW I've been wearing a g shock this entire deployment and I've only taken it off a handful of times.

Any particular reason or just personal preference?

My goodnes don;t wear it every day. Should be left in the box it came in or in a display case. After all it is just a rolex. Ha Ha, just kidding. I wear a 1985 datejust every day and it is fine. I just don;t jackhammer with it. Wear in good health.
