I think its even funnier that the "wad" below the 100's is actually a pile of $1.00 bills..you can tell because of the BLUE paper wrapper on it... if it were hundreds it would be yellow...wow I have way to much time on my hands..

That's brilliant Tom

Well spotted and great detective work........

I must admit it seemed a little odd to be showing a stack of bills for an opening post......

So presumably the OP would have needed to go into a bank especially to ask for a hundred one dollar bills just for the photo prop....... Class

Exactly my sentiments Tom and that's why I was surprised that some folks would find this guys pictures classless (FYI- Those 100's in your pic are not the real McCoy )... After all we do use cash to buy these toys we display here... Now if his picture was of this then it's another ball game... Oh well...

That is awesome...in fact, it was my first thought when I saw the original pic. I bet that is a stack of $1s with a couple $100s tossed on top. Good detective work, Tom:)

Dang... nice detective work!! Impressive.

This is why you have to be careful where you "flaunt" your stuff. You flaunt it at a teeny bopper forum, that's one thing. But to flaunt it on TRF - you got some big kahunas here who know what a stack should look like.

This is the big leagues.

Remember... The OP (I am assuming) was just having fun! With all the Attire and SWAG threads we have on this very site he may have been lurking and wanted to post something! We have no idea how hard he may have had to work to purchase his first Rolex and his acquisition may have made him feel like a million buck! I say no harm no foul! All in good fun IMO

I meant no disrespect the OP, I just thought it was funny that he felt the need to "flaunt" the goods.Showing off a bunch of ones is odd IMO Especially since his watches are fantatsic enough ..
I just dont see the point to show that off..BTW Sam I dont think those are hundreds either.. You should send them to me just to make sure

I say.... if you want to flaunt it, do it right.

Show me your Rolls or your Yacht in the background. Show me an Aston or a nice Porsche.

Show me something I want to see.

If you want to see a Rolls Royce, just ask (Tom) a.k.a. haydendillon. He posted pics of a SWEET RR Ghost a while back. Not quite as impressive as a stack of $1 bills, but pretty cool all the same.

Edit: Damn you are fast Tom, you beat me to it!

He has what looks to be five $100 bills. As my Grandma says, "That's better than a sharp stick to the eye."

A lot of things are better than a sharp stick to the eye.

Some say that gonorrhea is better than a sharp stick to the eye.

I agree... If your intention is to be impressive with swag in the background, go big because what the OP had in his wasn't going to do it here!

I guess BIG_B_n_FLA better used a double BK menu.
Would have been the same amount as that pile of $ 1.00 . . .

Great post

Love the comments ;-)

The key is to be real...... There are plenty of big hitters on TRF and I'm sure we all enjoy seeing their goodies...... Indeed, I love seeing car, attire and swag posts as they are great fun and give us all a little insight into each others lives.....

But when someone just posts a thread with photos simply flaunting a pile of cash, it just strikes me as rather odd, primarily as on a Rolex forum, the chances are we are not going to be particularly impressed unless you are photographed standing in a room full of it...... As others have said I would much rather see what is was spent on rather than the raw material....

But trying to fool people, whilst clearly quite easy to do on a Forum, just shows immaturity and a lack of character.

We could all take wrist shots at ADs or of Pre-owned to avoid the stickers showing, we could all go for test drives in super cars and take photos. Indeed, we could all go on multi-million pound home viewings and take snaps...... But ultimately, what would this prove?

Very strong and good post Steve. I took the OP's thread as a way for him to signify that he has achieved a great milestone for him to acquire his Sub and not a way for him to fool us. I knew off the bat from the blue rings around the $1 brick that they were not $100's hence my initial comment stating all that glitters is not gold but could be copper ;-) Anyway, I don't think we should be emotionally attached to these things posted on the forum, he is a new member here and may have some insightful things to discuss. As in real life I am always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt. Fool me once it's ok, fool me twice then it's my fault...
