I think its even funnier that the "wad" below the 100's is actually a pile of $1.00 bills..you can tell because of the BLUE paper wrapper on it... if it were hundreds it would be yellow...wow I have way to much time on my hands..

Well spotted and great detective work........ I must admit it seemed a little odd to be showing a stack of bills for an opening post...... So presumably the OP would have needed to go into a bank especially to ask for a hundred one dollar bills just for the photo prop....... Class |

Exactly my sentiments Tom and that's why I was surprised that some folks would find this guys pictures classless (FYI- Those 100's in your pic are not the real McCoy )... After all we do use cash to buy these toys we display here... Now if his picture was of this then it's another ball game... Oh well...

That is awesome...in fact, it was my first thought when I saw the original pic. I bet that is a stack of $1s with a couple $100s tossed on top. Good detective work, Tom:)

This is why you have to be careful where you "flaunt" your stuff. You flaunt it at a teeny bopper forum, that's one thing. But to flaunt it on TRF - you got some big kahunas here who know what a stack should look like. This is the big leagues.

He has what looks to be five $100 bills. As my Grandma says, "That's better than a sharp stick to the eye."

I agree... If your intention is to be impressive with swag in the background, go big because what the OP had in his wasn't going to do it here!

The key is to be real...... There are plenty of big hitters on TRF and I'm sure we all enjoy seeing their goodies...... Indeed, I love seeing car, attire and swag posts as they are great fun and give us all a little insight into each others lives.....
But when someone just posts a thread with photos simply flaunting a pile of cash, it just strikes me as rather odd, primarily as on a Rolex forum, the chances are we are not going to be particularly impressed unless you are photographed standing in a room full of it...... As others have said I would much rather see what is was spent on rather than the raw material.... But trying to fool people, whilst clearly quite easy to do on a Forum, just shows immaturity and a lack of character. We could all take wrist shots at ADs or of Pre-owned to avoid the stickers showing, we could all go for test drives in super cars and take photos. Indeed, we could all go on multi-million pound home viewings and take snaps...... But ultimately, what would this prove? |
