Btw, is it an easy fix to change from white to black? Would be nice to have both the set ups! I can't really decide which color I like the most...(such a huge problem) ;)

Well you need a new set of hands and a new dial. I was quoted 4000 SEK for this from an AD. Unless you know what you are doing you should let an AD install it.

Thanks for the info! I'm looking for a used Explorer II, but am quite unsure which serial number to go for. Any thoughts? I like the newer ones with the serial number engraved under the bezel...

I'm not really into serial numbers, but if you get an Exp2 with engraved rehaut you will most likely get the updated 3186 movement. However some of the last 16570 had a smaller amount of white gold surrounding the plots on the dial which I found less attractive.

If I were to buy one i would try to find one with thick black hour markers,my G serial got thinner than the older ones(don`t know when they changed it..) - still love mine!
