Ok, maybe it's just because I am a lady and I don't understand, but what is the actual "function" of a turnograph? Just curious. Personally, I think it is a sharp looking watch also, but too busy for my hubby. He is a plain, domed bezel, oyster bracelet, no bling type of guy.

The Turn-O-Graph allows you to have a 60 minute timer - you twist the bezel so the arrow lines up with the minute hand, and then you can track elapsed time. Basically, it's the same as what you get on the dive models, except you can twist it both ways

Actually you would'nt know it is 36mm as it wears much bigger with the fluted bezel. The white face model that I have looks the same as my 40 mm sub. Only by actually measuring with a rule can you see the difference.

That makes sense. Thank you for taking the time to answer a silly girl question.

Someone mentioned they stopped making but still show up in the catalog I got from AD last week. Announced at Basel?

They still show up in the catalog and Rolex website, however, production has halted on the TOG late last year

My first Rolex was a R serial (circa 1987) tt Thunderbird bought from an AD in 1990. Still have it, still looks very good, first service Jan. 2012. That high quality, beautiful watch is now worn by my oldest son. And he loves it!!

If the TB/TOG were available in 40mm I would have one (or two) in a heartbeat!

Too bad - they are nice looking timepieces. Seems like their in betweeness should have been an advantage.

Love this watch. Definitely underrated and the red is perfect.

Got mine last Fall during the infamous AD "fire sale." Would never have paid MSRP ($7+k) but gladly did for under $5k including tax.

I seriously considered one of these a few months back. This thread put it back on the radar.

Beautiful picture!

Wonder if they are made at 40mm, it would appeal a little more to a wider audience? The dial is simply too beautiful.

Imho !

They may be 36mm , but the fluted bezel bounces the light so they look a little bigger .

Definitely. Love my TT Jubilee white Dial. Somehow looks larger on the wrist. Don't see too many around and now discontinued. Like that.
