Looks great!
Great way to recycle an relatively undesireable GMT TT
:)

Where did you get the hands, dial, and bezel from?

Most impressive. I had no idea where you were going until the obvious dial. Even then though I was unsure if you were going to have all the parts and instead form up some franken-watch. Considering what were working with in the TT GMT and the replacement parts to create the Steve McQueen, other than serial numbers is that essentially an "authentic" Explorer II parts wise? I am not an expert on the guts and the movement but are they consistent from the era?

Very very cool thread. Now can you shoot some themed Explorer II shots with the orange hand?

Thank you all for the kind words.

Just to clear things out a bit so will I add:

I don't sell Rolex parts.
I don't sell the watch.
I don't do work on watches, only to myself.

And I have made this "Franken" to myself and I have all the original
parts to the GMT so it will be back to normal in a hour if I like.

So I do this for fun, not for living.

Thank again my friends, I'm happy you like my work and post.

I don't remember I have those parts since ten years, today Rolex have trade in system on those dials.

It's not exactly the same as the 1655. The 1655 have a bigger case and a DJ/Exp crown as it 6mm, the GMT/ExpII crown
as the one I have is 5,3mm so there you
can easy see if it's a correct case or not.
