Well most dive watches today will not be used to there rated water resistant.Although technically watches like the SD or DSSD depth rating will never be used by man or future man, they make them because they can.And with many to day bigger heavier is perceived better, and mine is bigger than yours is just a brag factor in watches nothing more.

I need it to tell the fellow man "Mine is bigger than yours!" ---- THere is a great felling that overcomes one when you beat the $hit out of your fellow man--- Like when a Ferrari shows up on the freeway ---- it tells all other candyA$$ cars like BMW and mercedes to BACK OFF because the Big Dog is in the house!!! --- It is great to crush the egos and attitudes of those who are posers...........
But Rolex is not a need. It is a want. It is something you can live without. |

I need my DSSD because it makes a good paper weight as well as a doubling up as a desk top clock.
Kidding! Love it to bits :) |

In similar way there are times when DSSD looks and feels great and other times when you may be better off with Explorer I or Timex. I agree with all that any Rolex is not a need, but a want. Though from some comments on TRF you would feel that some of us can not live without them ;-). |

My DSSD is a watch I swore I didn't like and would never own. ....after years of wearing a sub or sea dweller 4000, I accidentally acquired one....it is now my daily favorite.....I NEED it now!!! |

I have also submitted my complain to Nissan Global HQ asking them to stop making GTR
cause honestly, who needs that much technology, engineering and power in a car to get you from point A to point B safely?
