I just wish USPS had told mer this almost 6 months ago when I filed the claim against them. I've been fighting them for my money since January.

Oh, I intend to. In fact, I'll spill the beans about something that makes this even harder for me to deal with. I was stationed in Afghanistan when the watch stopped, and it was withing the year warranty SWO offers, so I contacted them, then sent the watch next time I flew to Bagram, late December.

A month went by with Vanessa denying having gotten my watch, so I filed a claim online. About that time I discovered a lump in my breast that has me worried. My PA there has me wait a months to see if it would go away. Next time I showed it to her she took one look and I was on the next flight off the base and out of country. I was sent to Dubai in hopes if was either benign of easily treatable. No suck like, I'm back Stateside taking some nasty chemo and on disability leave.

I don't know how this is all relevant, it's just has me all the madder becauuse I can't do things like drive up to Atlanta and pound a counter demanding my watch. And everything is harder to deal with mentally right now. Being stolen from be the vendor I got the watch from just had me even more pissed that USPS 'losing' it.

I'll be sure to post updates. I remember they messed someone here over a couple months back. I was really ticked because I'd recommended them. Never again after that, and certainly not now.

Although this is certainly not over its good of you to share the updates.
I plan to spread this around to every corner of the internet unless my watch magically reappears and is completely fixed with genuine Rolex parts.

Wow I cannot believe the vendor signed over the package with his own name knowing it is recorded as proof of delivery and have the cheek to lie to you about not receiveing it!!!!

I feel so angry for you right now! Have you send him a copy of the proof of delivery and demand your watch back?

Yeah, that takes a pair, don't it?

I heven't sent anything yet. I'm hoping to get confirmation he's the owner before I move. Also, can anyone tell me if he's the guy that got real nasty with the last TRF'er they ripped off? I'll have to find the thread.

He probably thinks you can`t do anything to him from where you are right now.

I reckon you`ll be be able to prove him wrong.

If he doesn't fix the problem in the next couple of days, I'd call the police department in Atlanta and file a stolen goods report against him/them. With you being in Afghanistan, I'm pretty sure the officers will do everything they can to help you out.

Also, ask USPS about the Inspection Service. Essentially unknown, the Postal Inspection Service has one of the best investigative units among law enforcement, and their conviction rate is through the roof.

For some reason I'm having trouble posting a link to their website.

Good luck!

It won't be easy, because even though I'm Stateside now, I can't drive. I'll find a way, though.

I hope they'll help me out anyway, since I'm about 150 miles away on medical leave from the sandbox now.

Good to know. Can you send me the link in a PM or something?

Thank you.

I was under the impression they are not offering any proof of delivery so looks like they did offer it. So my apologies --- I think USPS is back to
US Postal Service.

thank you

Chemo is the last thing you need on top of all this so, don't laugh, but will say a prayer for you.

Okay, moving on from the spiritual to the practical - I know you cannot drive but are you up to flying or getting the train ? If so, how much will it cost ?

Having been in the thick of it like yourself in 'Stan (doing medical support and research )then the one thing I learnt early on is that we all have to stick together.

Look after yourself and do not let this guy get away with it

I feel badly for you on all accounts.

Don't know if it's helpful but in that other mega-thread on this company, Greg aka Mosco seemed to know the owner, and Greg seems like a very helpful, stand up kind of guy. If it were me, I'd ask Greg what he thinks might have happened or what you should do about it.

Good luck, with everything.

Another example why buying pre owned and doing business with independents should be avoided. I figure it will take a lot of blood sweat and tears before this gets sorted out. Sorry for your loss OP. Hope it works out in the end.

Good luck with your health. I hope you make a full recovery.

Positive experiences are of little comfort when one is a victim of fraud.

blanketing every independent dealer because 1 deal went south is of little value

ive had my share of crap experiences with AD's it doesn't mean that they are all bad.

i have had the best experiences regarding sales and service of any product right here with TRF trusted sellers and that is a fact!
