I never realized so many people carry around so much cash. I thought we were in the age where cash was fast becoming obsolete. I need to keep my eyes open for you cash carrying WIS's in search of the discounted Grail! It could be a good way to finance my next Rolex.
Now where do you guys hang out? |

I must point out that Benjamin Franklin on the hundred was never President. Neither was Alexander Hamilton on the ten.
If you paid with only 50's, 20's, 5's and 1's you are fine. |

Amex for points - there was no discount for cash anyway. Otherwise, I woulda paid cash.
Oh, and paying with Amex doubles your warranty. |

I had talked with the AD by phone so I knew pretty much what the price would be. It was already discounted in St. Thomas vs. the mainland so I had all the traveler's checks (cash) with me I would require. Very smooth transaction, everyone happy.

Paid cash for my LV. List price, no tax.
I used credit card when buying my SS white face Daytona to get the points and then paid the bill off in full at the end of the month. Paid $7900 + plus tax. I could have had the watch shipped out of state and avoided the sales tax, but I was way to excited to even have the chance to buy the watch from my AD that I could not wait to ship out of state and then have it shipped back to me. |

Paid with American Express to get double the warranty, airline miles, and then paid it off when the bill came in.

Lots of ways
I found mine on the floor of a night club.
No wait a minute, I ripped it off of RedShirt1957's wrist while he was beating the crap out of my buddy. Or maybe I got beaned in the head with a new Sub in a random drive-by Rolexing as I hurled Seamasters back in defense. Okay, I paid by wire transfer. But that's pretty boring--all of the above sound a lot cooler. |

Purchased both watches (SS Sub Date and SS Daytona) using Jared's financing (Rolex special).
20% down with 12 months zero interest. Paid the Sub off in the first couple of months. Will likely pay off the Daytona in the same way. Wish I could have gotten a discount on the watches. However, the chance to just pick up the Daytona at MSRP was good enough. |
