Good one!

In my case though, I'd have to modify it to (X + Z) = Y where X and Y are as above but Z is a variable, depending on the state of my finances!

Three for me is good enough. I have all my bases covered, plus I can only wear one at a time :-)

I think, in reality, that I could be happy with 12 watches (not all Rolex for sure). I like to wear a different watch every weekday, and then a single watch on the weekend. Having 10 weekday watches would allow me to wear any watch only twice a month. This would keep them all fresh.

These are the 5 Rolex models that will make up my collection (some I have and some I "need"):
Pepsi GMT2
Old style SeaDweller
Old style No Date Sub
White dial Zenith Daytona
White dial 40mm Exp2

The only good quote from Wall Street 2:

Question: " I have a theory that everybody has a number, that when they achieve, they get out. So, What's your number?"

Answer: "More."

At a point in time, I thought I just really wanted 1 nice rolex.. Then I got it, and I figured one dress and one sports.. I now have 9 total watches, and find myself thinking about the next one while I'm at the shop picking up the newest...
