My 116710 came in the smaller box just like your Daytona, interestingly my wife's TT YM came in the larger box as per your SD, something she constantly teases me about
Sad to hear your SD is on the move Bo, but you're gonna love the GMTc, looking forward to seeing the pics. |

Good move!!!
Excellent choice. You will soon have the 2 best Rolex timepieces that currently exist. The accuracy of the GMT2C is staggering for an automatic. It also looks and feels so, so good. Your AD might get one sooner than you think!!!

I thinks it's the best way, I don't believe you can make a theory about the links between boxes and watches.... My SS GMT c arrived directly from Rolex and was with a small box.... |

I bought a Sea Dweller from an AD in Hong Kong a couple of weeks ago. My Dad was on the way through and picked it up for me. After reading this thread I checked my box, it looks to be the small one (could someone post actual measurements?) I also noticed a little sticker on the side hand written (removed very easily) obviously by the AD that says 116200, So I wrote an e-mail to the AD and they replied apologising for the error and said if I airmail it back (I'm in Australia) they would send me the correct box. I have asked if they can send the replacement first but they seem to want me to send mine back. What do you guys recommend I do? Should I insist they send it first, or send mine and hope they send the right one and it doesn't get damaged in shipping or just keep the one I have. Thanks, PS the ad is the Time Watch Company in Kowloon HK.

Why not ask them to send it to your nearest AD or Rolex Australia and swap it there.

Not a bad idea Eddie! I just got an e-mail from them
"We just called to the warehouse, they said that the box was the right one, it is for the Sea Dweller. So you need not to send me the box. If you have any problem, please leave your contact number to us. We are sorry for this matter. Thanks and Regards, Time Watch" So I'm really not sure what to do, it seems there is no hard and fast rule to the box sizing? I think until I find out for sure if Rolex have a strict Watch-Box match there might not be a lot I can do. And I wonder how I'll find this out! |

Or else you can BUY a genuine Rolex box, LARGE size, for "only" 249,95, special offer for you!
Rolex box! Large size! CLICK! It IS cool, that box, with those extra compartment rooms, but the PRICE of it?! BTW: MY SD box is not like that, just to make it clear.

Bo- You were talking about the tax if you were to buy abroad. I deal with the same thing when I send stuff to my friends in Kemerovo, Russia. All I have to do is mark the item as a "gift" and there is no tax involved. It works this way with physical items as well as when we wire them cash for their ministry. It may be worth checking into.

FOUR sizes of presentation boxes! That seems kind of interesting for me, I suppose because the differences in Rolex watches ranges from a maximum of 42mm (isn't the Clownmaster > 40mm?) to a smaller size of what, 26mm? When taken into context, the outer size of a box isn't quite done on a matching scale, is it? Hmmmm... Maybe I'm just thinking "out loud", so to speak.
Hey, Bo, get 'em to supply you with one of the larger sets! Just don't get gouged for ~ $250...
